Where to Eat

A buffet breakfast is provided in the Breakfast Hall, which occupies the mezzanine level of what once was a theater and features a vaulted glass-panel ceiling, vaulted alcoves containing antiqued-copper Art Nouveau light fixtures, and garden views through tall, arched windows with sheer white drapes.

Bistro Bar - Contemporary bar/restaurant with black-leather and gray-suede seating, soft green acrylic lighted bar, light-colored wood parquet floor. Open daily for sandwiches, salads, soups, pasta, and dishes such as pikeperch in lemon-butter sauce, steak, and duck in orange sauce.

Nearby Things to Do

Housed in what was once a bar, a wellness center with elaborate Art Deco moldings on ceilings and walls contains cardio machines, a large freestanding sauna within a violet-colored acrylic cube, a shower room with bright-blue acrylic tiles and rain showerhead, and a massage/facial room.

There are few recreational facilities within downtown Prague other than health clubs that offer aerobics and yoga classes, with some also including indoor courts for racket sports. An ice-skating rink is formed in Old Town Square during the winter. Running/walking paths lie along the Vltava (Moldava) River, and rowboats can be rented on the river during summer. On the other side (west) of the river, Petřín Hill, accessible from the Little Quarter (Malá Strana) via a funicular railroad, provides a network of parks for walking, jogging and cycling.

The recreational activities listed below are available near the hotel; fees may apply.

Lovely hotel in a perfect Old Town location

Pros: Location, room size, view, heated floors in bath
Cons: Some mornings we had to let the water run a while before showering to get hot water.
Location: Everything is close by - Powder Gate, Old Town Square, Prague Astronomical Clock, and Wenceslas Square are all very near.
The hotel is in a perfect location, central to all of the shopping, arts, restaurants and museums of Old Town. The staff was helpful and spoke fluent English. We had a lovely room on the top floor with a view of Powder Gate. For European standards, the room was large, with plenty of room. Our favorite room feature - a heated floor in the bath. The bar is modern and smartly designed and the breakfast includes a wide variety of foods. We thought the hotel was a great value and would definitely stay here again.

Pros: Location, modern, well maintained, fairly quiet.
Cons: Pillows were a little thin but bed was most comfortable.
Location: Location was excellent and within blocks of shops, restaurants, attractions (Old Town, Wenceslas).
Excellent overall! Staff were very courteous and helpful, top notch. Rooms were modern, very clean and well maintained, and otherwise quite comfortable. Breakfast with service was excellent (good selection of food, drinks). Location was within 3 blocks of Old Town Square and 4 blocks to Wenceslas Square. Many restaurants and shops within blocks (mainly to the west).

Pros: Obviously the location was great but it was also a clean and stylish hotel. The staff were friendly and the breakfasts were good too.
This hotel was recommended to us and we would certainly pass on the recommendation. The location is very close to the Powder Gate which means the Old Town Square is just a 5minute walk. As we wanted the visit the Christmas markets it was perfect. During the day it was close enough to the shopping areas to allow a quick return to drop off bags before continuing with visits to all the great landmarks.

I think some focus in security would be good. I asked for a room key a few times and it was given but I coukd have been anyone and the details or confirmation was not asked for. I cannot think they know me from anyone so always worry about such security
