Fabulous! But Disparity Between Rooms

Pros: The luxurious ambiance, friendly staff, sumptuous breakfast, quiet nights, proximity to all major sights without being in the heart of the noisy town.
Cons: Offer rooms on the fourth floor at a reduced rate and make this clear when booking so a smaller room is expected.
Location: Old Town (where all the major tourist sights are) is approx 30mins walk or 10min taxi ride away. Prague is simply stunning.
The hotel itself is beautiful and quiet with a lot of luxurious touches. All staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly apart from one surly man who checked us in at 10pm. Be aware: The rooms on the fourth floor are effectively in the attic and so are small with sloped ceilings. We had the tiniest wardrobe and no safe (because there was nowhere to put one!). Having said that, we found the room comfortable, quirky and cosy, and as we weren't staying for long, did not worry about lack of wardrobe space. I imagine that, had we complained, we may well have been moved. I believe we were put up there because we booked at a reduced rate through Expedia. Our friends booked after us, direct with the hotel, and were given a much larger room on the second floor, with expansive wardrobe and safe. If this bothers you, feel free to ask to be moved. The buffet breakfast was splendid, unhurried, with friendly service, lots of choice and included a complimentary glass of prosecco which was a wonderfully lavish treat. We were made to feel special. The hotel is an easy walk (approx 30mins) from Old Town and all the sights. There are lots of lovely bars and restaurants everywhere, including on the hotel doorstep, but the hotel is just far enough out of town to be nice and quiet. Prague itself is absolutely stunning. I would come here again but would book the hotel taxi transfer service because GREYLINE TAXI DID NOT TURN UP EVEN THOUGH WE HAD PAID THEM IN ADVANCE. DO NOT USE THEM.

Pros: Beautifully decorated and excellent breakfast
Location: Location was good, straight walk down to old town
I would have scored higher but the cleaning staff were quite loud outside our room and I heard them mocking my accent, for which they apologised when I approached them about it. However I found them very unprofessional so maybe that can be addressed for the future.

Old World Elegance with Charming Staff

Pros: The location and the staff.
Beautiful hotel within walking distance to Prague. Easy to access by car. The staff is very friendly and seem proud of the hotel and their city. Room was a bit small but comfortable and quiet.

Good hotel but slips on a couple of things

Pros: The ambiance
Cons: The breakfast arrangements!
Location: Slightly out of the main drag - and all the better for it. Short walk to the metro and tram stops
This is a very nice hotel - away from the main centre and therefore nice and quiet. Generally the hotel deserves its 5 stars but we thought the breakfast buffet arrangements were a bit of a bunfight - the tables are really too close together for a 5* hotel and there was a constant stream of guests moving backwards and forwards. The other criticism we had was that the wardrobe in our room had a terrible odour in it. That said, it is a very nice hotel and we dined in the restaurant, which was not at all expensive.

Amazing staff, lovely hotel only minor thing was no air conditioning had to open window. But would stay here again though without any reservations.

Lovely stay, fabulous hotel, great breakfast. Good location with easy access to trams no 6 & 22 which takes you to all the attractions. Milo the restaurant manager is very nice!

Not 5* service, made to feel a nuisance.

Nice looking, clean with a good breakfast but expected a lot more from the staff at a 5* hotel. Arrived about 10pm, no-one was about. Few hotel staff went past and just looked at us. I think in the end the barman called the phone to get someone out backs attention. No apology/ sorry we have made you wait. had problems getting through to reception/ anyone on two mornings. Had to call about 7 times at different intervals for someone to finally answer. When they did when we needed some mugs ( housekeeping had forgotten) they never arrived. Had to ask twice more, throughout the day/evening physically asking at reception for them to arrive. Apology was only given the last time ” sorry reception are busy”. Also problem getting coffee from anyone on the first breakfast, didnt realize they came to the table until the second morning when we were offered. Shame because as our stay went on the staff seemed to get better/ friendlier but the stay had already been tarnished. Defintely not 5* when you feel like a nuisance.

Nice hotel, good breakfast

Nice hotel but a little too far away from the main tourist attractions. Good value though especially when you consider that breakfast is included. Bit of a walk to nearest public transport. Hotel website says that the hotel has an airport shuttle, but this turns out to be Just a taxi service.
