Disappointing room service ruined stay

Pros: Stylish, trendy interior, clean rooms and swimming pool and sauna facilities. Location was good too.
Cons: Room service/bar staff are so appalling and need to be trained on quality customer service.
Location: Not completely central to Old Town as I thought about a 20 mins away. City around it is quite dead. Not too much to do around the hotel.
My friend and I stayed in the standard room for 4 nights in May 17. The hotel was very stylish, clean, trendy interior and great facilities-swimming pool and sauna. Rooms were a good size, fully equipped (wifi was great) and clean. The bathroom is claustrophobic after showering as there is no fan to disperse the steam. We had a problem with the mini fridge not working and immediately got this replaced with a new one. Although the new one wasn't any colder, we appreciated the prompt and professional service. On 2 nights we decided to eat in, twice we phoned the room service staff to request some crockery and cutlery, twice we were told they were "TOO BUSY" to deliver this service so we were told we can go downstairs and collect this ourselves. First time I went downstairs, I found the bar practically empty with the exception of 3-4 people! So I have no idea why they were "so busy". When I told him that I called earlier and was told to come and collect my own crockery and cutlery I received no apology or an explanation as to why they could not have provided this service. The second time, we called and were told they were "SO BUSY" to deliver this and we could come down to collect it or wait 30 mins. Unimpressed (again) I decided to wait the 30 mins. When it did arrive, staff was so rude, did not say a work to us and looked at us like we were an inconvenience. This experience ruined our stay here, feel like we didn't receive value for mioney and I would not recommend or return.

Nice, clean rooms at a great price. Parking is directly under the hotel and very convenient.

Business trip to Prague

Pros: Very clean hotel in very good location, good value for money.
Cons: The sat nav gets a little confused when you put the address in and it can be tricky to get to the hotel due to one way street system.
Location: Lovely location, very close to all tourist attractions.
I stayed in this hotel on a business trip to Prague. The room was clean and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The check in and check out procedure was very quick and easy.The hotel is located very close to city centre in walkable distance to tourist attractions, restaurants and bards. The hotel has underground parking that is very easy to get to. The sat nav gets a little confused when you put the address in and it can be tricky to get to the hotel.

Mixed experience

An ok stay, but not to the standard I'd expect from Novotel. Poor welcome at check in and took fifteen minutes to get keys, then had to call to get interconnecting door unlocked. Rooms and public areas clean and comfortable but hall way carpets stained and dirty. Breakfast good but badly organized. Great selection of food and drinks though. Pool and sauna clean and open quite late, towels provided. Location is pretty good but get a map, if you wander the wrong way it's a long walk into the main tourist areas. Lots of food and drink choices, couple of cash points and chemist right by hotel. Also secure parking for reasonable price. Not a bad hotel but not up to expected standard of the brand. Needs to raise it's game in a city with so many alternatives.
