Nice hotel

My husband and I stayed at LA Quinta for 3 nights with our 2 dogs. Our room was very clean and peaceful. Breakfast was good with waffles, eggs and sausage. Great for a mini vacation.

Room choice

Pros: It was clean....the staff was friendly.
Cons: The artificial scrambled eggs....the shutters on the windows in the parking lot need to be changed out for darkening type curtains.
Location: Whiskey Row is fun for shopping and eating. Check out the Hassayampa Inn for some great history. Trader Joe's and a good mall nearby.
Nice hotel, however, if you get a room on the first floor, make sure it doesn't face the parking lot. We were awakened by cars pulling right up in front of the patio at all hours of the night. The shutters on the french doors are NOT sufficient to block out headlights and it was REALLY annoying. Also, the people in the room above us sounded like a herd of elephants walking back and forth OFTEN. It was also at odd hours and woke us up in the middle of the night. Otherwise, all was pleasant, other than lack of ability to SLEEP! The complimentary breakfast was nice, aside from the plastic scrambled eggs. Not sure what the "eggs" were made of, but it certainly wasn't real eggs. They served fresh waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, donuts and had juices and coffee available. There were sausage patties that looked like they might be ok, but we didn't try them.

PLEASANT, CLEAN ROOM AND HELPFUL EMPLOYEES.

Pros: We appreciate that the motel was dog friendly. The availability of coffee throughout the day in the lobby was a bonus.
Stayed two nights with our small dog. The bed was very comfortable and our room was large and clean with quality finishes and funishings for the price. Of the 15 hotels we stayed at on this vacation, this Prescott La Quinta was overall the best in all categories and in value. It is well managed and in a handy location. Our only suggestion is that garbage at entrances be dumped from full cans more often and that hallway carpet stains be shampooed for a cleaner look; the carpets themselves are a lovely, colorful design that increase the aesthetic appeal of the building.

Ok hotel with problems

Pros: Very Little
Cons: See above.
Location: Too far to walk to any other businesses. Kind of far away from everything.
At first blush this is an attractive hotel, but after checking in it went downhill from there: 1) my room reservation was made 3 weeks before checking in, but evidently it is first come gets the closest rooms to the entrance. My room was absolutely the furtherest from the front door. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but there was no luggage carrier (cart) available. Took me three trips. 2) Room was dark. With all the lights on I couldn't read a book except under a lamp. Light bulbs were old neon style, not LED. 3) No TV guide in the room. 4) Heater was inadequate. Bathroom was cold and never heated up. 5) Pillows were hard. 6) No extra blankets, room cold, comforter was wrong size for the queen bed. I won't return!

Pros: Proximity to everything.
At check in there was an immediate security charge to my credit card; not just a notation. The door to my room needed attention, the remote for the TV did not work, the thermostat was next to impossible to adjust.

Good hotel, reasonably close to Prescott.

Pros: I liked the spaciousness of the room. It didn't feel cramped at all.
Cons: Updated equipment at the fitness center.
Location: It's relatively close to Prescott and within easy driving distance of several restaurants.
I stayed here there for 5 days. The room was spacious, with a refrigerator, microwave and balcony. It was a pleasant stay.

We would stay again

Great hotel. We didn't realize how far it was from downtown, but the room was new, very clean. The courtyard in the center is great- Even in the snow it was a nice place to be outside. The only weird part was the bar/restaurant. The bartender was wonderful, but their system for placing order, taking money, getting recipients, change etc. was very strange and very time consuming.

Convenient access to the area and attentive staff

Great location to shopping, downtown, and restaurants. Breakfast was more than I usually have at other hotels. The staff was excellent, responsive and attentive to my particular needs. I'm very familiar with the Prescott area and will chose this location again and will recommend it to others going to Prescott. Great value for the money.
