Great for a stopover or short visit

Posted Jul 14, 2017
Pros: The rooms were a good size, clean, and the decor was pleasant.
Location: It is perfect for anyone visiting the university as it's about halfway between the train station and the main campus.
I only needed one night in Preston, and this hotel was near enough to the city centre that it was only a 5 minute walk from anything I needed, but wasn't right by the bus or train stations so was much nicer than the other hotels on offer in the area. That being said, the location wasn't perfect in that it was right by the A59 as it came into the city, so opening the window at night did mean a bit of noise, but otherwise it was a quiet, clean, comfortable little hotel, with decent sized rooms and pleasant decor. The breakfast was standard fare, and checking in and out was easy, so it was a good stay for the price per night.

Great location close to city centre. Clean and modern. Great breakfast! Special mention to the Reception staff, very welcoming and struck perfect balance between professionalism and informality, full marks for them!

Thumbs up!

This hotel is very conveniently located in Preston. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the train station and to downtown. The only thing, as an American, I would've liked is an ice machine and possibly a refrigerator in the room. One of the two would have been nice. However, having grown up over in England and mainland Europe I don't necessarily expect that from a European or UK based Hotel. The service staff was absolutely amazing and breakfast was fantastic. I would definitely give it a thumbs up.
