Old, which is ok. Not clean, which is not. Stained sheets and cigarette burns on bedding. had to contact manager to get the continental breakfast, which was old coffee and hostess treats.

Nice owner. She was so sweet!

It's old but comfortable. My son broke a table on accident and when his dad couldn't fix it the owner was very nice and understanding. We will definitely go here again.

Attending an area wedding

Posted Oct 6, 2015 on Hotels
We are 70 & 68 years old couple, needing a hotel to spend the night after a local wedding. We didn't need a pool, or anything fancy. We needed a clean bed close by before making our 3 hour drive home. The manager was very friendly and helpful. He asked if everything was fine & if we needed anything else. Coffee & wrapped rolls were available for a quick breakfast before heading out. The hotel is not new by any means, but it fit the bill for a clean bed close by and coffee & a roll in the morning.

update needed

Posted Sep 7, 2015
Pros: good location for our travel needs. there were no bugs.
Cons: update needed in all aspects of the hotel.
Location: good restaurant in close proximity, near a major highway.
room carpet was worn and dirty, had only one bath towel, one hand towel and one wash cloth for a room designated for two people, room was musty smelling, small bathroom, and individual room air conditioner unit was noisy. staff was friendly. only had coffee and packaged rolls for their breakfast.

Cons: outside looks, remodel, update, clean
The motel is vintage 40s or 50s. It smells. The owner is trying but not up to par

Just a place to stay for the night

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: See above
Location: Central Minnesota and lake country. Also, nearby was a dirt racing track (but one couldn't hear any excessive noise form the track).
I was greeted very warmly and offered soda, juice or water upon check in - nice touch. The hotel is undergoing renovation which explains a lot of its condition. The bed linen was so thin, one could read a newspaper through it. The towels were excessively stained and worn. While the room had AC, the thermostat didn't work, and reached a very cold temperature about 2:30 am.

Hard to complain about a motel that was able to give us a room. But it wouldn't be a first choice, if I had a choice.
