B&B in cityPosted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Staff helpful and pleasant Free parking Excellent breakfast
Cons: I don't think it can be improved, it's an old house and it is what it is!
Location wasn't the greatest, wouldn't walk around the area @ night. Rooms very small, but very clean and comfortable.

Comfortable, cozy home away from homePosted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: STAFF and Cookies!
Cons: The only thing I would add, would be a fruit bowl for breakfast.
So I have been in hospitality for almost 2o years. Currently I am a concierge in NYC but one of my first jobs was an assistant innkeeper at a B and B in Cambridge MA. Wow did this place bring back sooo many pleasant memories! For me the real difference about staying at a b and b and a hotel is the little touches and the staff, and this place delivered on both fronts! The home made pastries available 24/7 were delightful, and Katie was a SUPER STAR!!!! Breakfast also was great. We stayed at a "fancy" b and b in Newport last year, and did not have near as nice an experience, this place has sooo much heart and was very user friendly!

Quaint B&B with rich historyPosted Jul 23, 2015
Pros: Free wifi and the building is secure. They had free parking but if the inn is full, there is an over flow lot. So charming lots of character.
Cons: More outlets in the room. Would recommend full size ironing board table top one is hard to use without larger solid surface. I had to clean off desk.
Location: Within walking distance to the state building, Park Place Mall and the river walk area.
This is. B&B that sits in the middle of a neighborhood. There is a highway right next to the facilities that may bother some. For me I was used to it because I live in a high traffic area. The king room on the ground floor is spacious. This was my first experience in a B&B and I love the home atmosphere. The breakfast room is bright and welcoming with very pretty old world charm. It provides opportunity with the long breakfast table to meet others if you choose or smaller tables if you prefer more privacy at breakfast. I was asked two mornings in a row if my husband was joining me. I know it's well intended so they can know how many to prepare for. However I was recently widowed and having to keep telling them each morning I was alone made me feel bad. Maybe a better approach should be, is there anyone joining you for breakfast. They had wonderful little pastries for snacks in the afternoon. They've really paid attention to all the little details! I would highly recommend and definately stay there again if I'm ever in that area.
