Pass on this hotel

Posted May 8, 2016 on Hotels
This hotel is clearly dated, while the staff was very nice, that is about the best there was. It was 43 degrees out and no heat in the place because they turn it off.mwe were offered a extra blanket and a space heater, the bathroom door hinges squeaked really loud because the top hinge need grease and the the metal frame was moving, one lights witch to work 3 lights if you put on the bathroom light at night the hal and closet goes on also. It took them 4 hours to fix the fuse in our room that popped, food trays from breakfast was left in the hall for a full day, orange juice glasses left on the window by the elevator two whole days so far, limited tv channels, etc... It was just not kept up, this hotel was once the pride of Providence, it has lost its luster for sure. Again,nt he staff was very nice

Room was nice, hotel was classic, but electrical outlets were sorely lacking.

Gross rooms!!!

Posted May 2, 2016 on Hotels
My family and I stayed in room 314 for 2 nights and I have to say that we have stayed at the Biltmore Providence 5 times and this was by far the worse time. After the first night, I walked downstairs and told the woman at the front desk that my son was itchy from the bed sheets and I thought there room had bed bugs. She told me she would have hem change the sheets in his crib (baby, 16 months old). Needless to say, we all have bed bug bites now (see picture attached of my wrist and hand). After expressing how upset I was with my son's outbreak and how bad he looks, to also have bits all over the rest of us (husband, myself and toddler son) is disconcerting. I expressed how firstly we found the room and bathroom also and now we look like we ran through a huge infestation of bed bugs in or room. I would like to speak with a manager as soon as possible in reference to our experience and stay.

Just ok-- not a good value for the price

The room was cold! I kept adjusting the heat to no avail. I ended up asking the front desk to send me a blanket. In the morning I went to make coffee and the "clean" mug had lipstick stains on it! Yuck. For the price, I would not stay there again.
