Quality hostal with a good location.Posted Mar 3, 2017 on Hotels
We had a very good experience with this Hostal. The location is great and the building is very nice, while the rooms are what you would expect for this level of accommodation. Also, the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Convenient and quiet, simple base for sightseeingPosted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: Quiet, 24 hour desk staff. A genuine 19th century house. No piped music and no TV in room; a welcome change from 21st century hype.
Cons: Internal lighting could be stronger. Carpets need vacuuming.
Location: In historic old town in easy reach of many palaces, churches and museums on foot. Typically Sevillian bars and small restaurants close by.
Hidden in the old town within easy reach of cultural areas. A simple 19th century hotel for dedicated travellers. No frills, no lift for example and no bling but perfect for serious exploration.

All previous reviews were spot on.Posted Nov 12, 2016
Location: Everything is within walking distance and as a lone female female traveller I felt extremely safe and secure. Great!
Hotel Sierpes was exactly what I expected from reviews I had read. So, it was perfect in that it is a fantastic location which is ideal for getting about to every part of Seville. Yes, it is a little bit run down but if you're out and about all day you only need a lovely clean bed and bathroom at the end of the day. The staff are lovely and extremely helpful and the continental breakfast is fantastic value. I would definitely stay there again and would certainly recommend it. It's not The Ritz but it really is a great place to stay right in the middle of a beautiful part of Seville. Do it!

Great Deal! 2 minute walk to many main attractionsPosted Jun 25, 2016
First of all it was inexpensive. It's lobby absolutely charming and the front desk is very helpful. My room met the criteria I needed, air conditioning, free wifi, bed, private bath and closet and desk. Slept cool and comfortably. I would definitely come back!

Acceptable Trade OffPosted Jun 22, 2015
The location in the maze of the old town makes up for the basic features of the rooms. Charming atria. The staff was very helpful, although not always readily available. Cleaning service was good, but the breakfast was minimalist. A little more effort both in terms of service and breakfast and foodstuffs would go a long way.

Very central location in 'old city'Posted Apr 28, 2015
Pros: Its location and cheap price.
Cons: Needs redecorating and refurbishing of bathrooms
Location: In a very narrow back street near the cathederal and alcazar. Good tapas bodega 'Santa Cruz' about 5 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Very basic accommodation, a backpacker's hostal really. Not very clean and needs redecorating. No plug in washbasin and only one towel changed in a week. However, if you're looking for cheap basic accommodation its OK. Staff pleasant however which makes up for some of the failings. Breakfast served till 11am, so you can lie-in late.

Delightful old hostalPosted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Cozy atmosphere, close to tourist sights
Cons: Needs a little cosmetic updating
Location: Minutes from Seville Cathedral and Barrio Santa Cruz
My wife and I loved this hostal for its charm, cute furnishings and cozy atmosphere. Sure, the building is older and needs some repairs, but the room was comfortable, the bathroom adequate, and the location was perfect for all the sights in Seville. The breakfast was meager but cheap. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

Not a winter hostel.Posted Dec 16, 2014
Pros: The staff and location as well as the historical feel of Seville this place exudes.
Cons: 1.) Simply put a cheap and simple router upstairs (easy few euro to make your guests happy). 2.) Simply put a cheap hot water pot in each room (")
Location: All of the major sites in Seville are near
The stone walls and floors are a beautiful historical feast for the eyes, yet the understaffed hostel meant a world of things gone wrong: the heater was caked with dust (which is probably why it stopped working years ago). The hot water only comes on if you run it for TEN minutes. Yes, that's right. But like clockwork. The staff varies, but all-in-all, great people. No hot water in your room. Great location . The free internet only works if you put your pc or smart phone right up to the room door (in room 102), so don't bank on actual "free internet" unless you leave the privacy of your room. A little money and know-how could see this place flourish. Shame.
