First night was a little unnerving but we later got to enjoy the hotel, the two guys at the reception, the lady in the kitchen.all fantastic.The location is also very close to all the essential tourist centers

I felt the continental breakfast was one the best I've ever had. The room was quiet with great housekeeping every day. The location is close to metro stops. My only complaint was that when I asked the manager directions to the post office, he said there was no need to go, because he could sell me postcard stamps at their cost of 2 euros each. I found out later they cost 1 euro each. I felt it was a cheap con to pull on a customer who stayed 6 nights at his hotel. It showed a lack of respect for me. John from Albuquerque. December 2023.

The hotel was in the city center and was close to everything and most attractions. The room was clean, and the room was cleaned daily. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again if in Athens in the future and would recommend it to a friend.

Loved this hotel.

A Big “Two Stars” Hotel
Excellent location. The hotel different-shift receptionists are all very helpful & polite. Breakfast is amazing well organize and enough variety. It is a small but amazing with high quality service level hotel.

This hotel was well worth the stay especially given it was walking distance to the main square and many well known Gyros food places. Kostas- the young man at the front desk was most helpful and very supportive towards tourists he guided us on where to go, how to get there and where to eat. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

The hotel is great if you're looking for a central location and planning to spend most of the time exploring Athens. It offers basic services but the room is clean and the team is super helpful and nice.

This was a great little hotel. Good location with everything close by. The rooms were dated and small, but clean. Beds were comfy, AC strong. What really shines here is the people. Very welcoming, kind and helpful. Absolutely would stay here again.

Great, great city hotel. Comfortable and cozy rooms with a small balcony. Helpful staff, special thanks to the administrator Yanis. The hotel is located in a tourist area within walking distance of attractions, there are many delicious cafes and restaurants nearby. I will definitely stay here next time.

I loved this hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful when I need information. One thing I loved the most hiw good care they give to guest: one day I needed to leave earlier to the airport before the breakfast opens, and without asking, they gave me a bag with bread, banana, cake and juice. Loved the kindness. Awesome hotel and all staff.

Athens getaway
When you book an economy hotel you can’t expect anything glamorous, you pay for what you get, which is often the basics. I will say that I was pleasantly surprised, because the hotel staff were fantastic and went above and beyond to make me feel accommodated in everything which I asked of them. This hotel is conveniently located right next to omonia square which makes it very easy to get to almost anywhere in Athens very quickly. I stayed at a fancier hotel the two nights previous to my check in here, and I paid double the price. What I would say is, that paying double the price did not give me a better overall experience. So I would certainly say this hotel is worth it, not only for the budget, but it did have some great things going for it, mainly the staff who work there. Very friendly and accommodating and hard working people. Definitely a positive experience, I would certainly stay here again and recommend to anybody interested in staying in an affordable accommodation in Athens for a few nights.

It was pretty ok for a budget hotel. On par with average quality of rooms at a typical budget hotel. he front desk staff was super helpful, even helped me save money using public transit than taking a cab out of town. I would say 1 downside is it is across the street of 3 adult cinemas. So you get a bunch of shady characters lurking in the street outside. It is only a few blocks from the major tourist plaza, but it’s scary with shady characters in that short walk. I would recommend this place for saving $$$, but I would not recommend staying here alone. You’ll want some friends to watch your back at night when you go for a walk to the city center.

4 Nov, early in the morning, arrived at this cheap hotel and encountered a cheap male receptioninst (seemed to be part time employed). ----rough and loud and also trying to speak in very greek broken English--- GRENGLISH. Regretfully,a worst-ever receptionist. But,cleaning staff and a lady in the dining hall were excellent with smiles. Much helped by those women and lady.. The owner has to think about the characters of the staff.

The hotel in general is very good, service great. Basic and satisfying breakfast. The beds and pillows in the room are uncomfortable. The shower is very small and is suitable for thin people. The location of the hotel is excellent. Walking distance to the central areas of the city. In general, I was pleased.

The Economy Hotel is in a very good area, close to the food markets and a big supermarket in Athinas Street. Mini fridge and safe box were both very welcome, plenty to choose from at breakfast. Quiet room with balcony, enjoyed time on the terrace while filling in time before a late flight.

The hotel is within walking distance to the city centre which makes it easy to get around town to the shops and tourist attractions. The amenities are not luxurious but adequate for a short break. The staff are friendly and responsive and most importantly the rooms were clean and are cleaned daily.

Economy Hotel, Athens - Well run and welcoming, offering clean and comfortable rooms and a great breakfast buffet. Located within a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station and about a 15 minute walk to the Ancient sites.. Would definitely stay here again and will recommend. (..I'm glad I wasn't put off by some reviews saying the location is seedy, due to the one Adult services shop in the vicinity - The elegant Town Hall building is just across from the hotel!).

This property although basic is very clean and the staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable from the chambermaid to the receptionist. Adding some fried eggs and a little variety to the breakfast spread would make this hotel perfect.I am very happy with this hotel.

Better than expected.
To be honest if it wasn't for a favourable rating I would have steered clear of this hotel but I am happy to say the hotel did justify its rating. Ok it's not the newest or plushest hotel in Athens and it certainly isn't in the plushest area, although pretty central. The service however was both good and friendly. The rooms were in perfectly good order, and breakfast was comprehensive and plentiful. The one downside was the plumbing was a bit smelly. Overall if your main objective is a good values base from which to explore Athens and you are used to keeping your wits sbout you when travelling, this is s perfectly good option.

The room has everything we needed for a comfortable night rest despite being a little small. The breakfast was decent and the service was great. It was really value for money. We would like to thank all the hotel staffs, especially Dimitris who always greeted us with a smile and was so helpful with giving us directions. They even pack breakfast for us on the morning where we had to leave really early to catch the ferry. Definitely recommend this for travellers on a Budget.
