The staff was extra special I in going out of their way to treat us like we were crackheads scamming the property and destroying the facilities, especially the General Manager. The night security and check in girl were helpful, and yet remained apparently corporate. At approximately 8:am as I was getting coffee, I asked the same girl that originally checked us in if I could have a noon checkout as I was waiting to hear from my wife at noon regarding an extended stay. 11:30 was the best she would do, and I begged practically. We decided to stay and well in advance of the 1130 checkout I went to the desk to reserve the room for the weekend. The price went up $10.00, and naturally I asked for the same day i had been paying as we'd been there all week. An immediate refusal to even discuss the matter was apparent as the rooms would be full either way. She refused to ask or offer to let me see management, saying he has no way to interject as it is corporate decision. So I began packing. At 1130 am, a thunddring boom on the door. I didn't immediately answer as I was using the bathroom. As I approached the door somebody attempted to open it. The latch saved the manager from seeing my wife's privates. I was immediately greeted with these exact words. "Checkout was at 11. Time to get out". "Excuse me?" I replied, and was told to go. I explained that I had asked for a late check-out. He said I was lying. Richard Neill, West Bay Beach, A Holiday Inn Resort - Director of Engineering.
