Stuck in the 80’s

We have stayed at other Maritim hotels & have been more than pleased, so how the Maritim group are happy to have a hotel of this caliber I am amazed. It is a dark depressing place with the food selection served up on the lowest of imaginable budget (but edible). The sliding doors of balcony on coast side rattle all night. The staff were all very pleasant & hard working especially bar staff as only ever 1 on duty at any given time. We did leave this hotel half way through our stay at our expense & booked into another. Maritim what are you doing?

Nice place for a quiet break

Pros: Quiet, not in the centre of town but close enough to walk to the main attractions and beach.
Cons: Make it clear to visitors that the gym and sports facilities are not in the hotel. Advertise closures of facilities...
Location: Beach, pubs, tourist sites (these are not cheap) The Steak house down the road is absolutely fantastic (expensive, but fantastic!)
Nice hotel, part of a larger apartment complex. Great sea views, breakfast offered a nice variety and there's lots of it (same for buffet dinner)! Negatives, walking to/from the hotel is a little difficult because of the hill. The pool was closed so we had to walk to the resort pool (up a hill) The gym is not part of the hotel building, its in the attached centre which is a little walk (bit of a hill) Over all its good if you don't mind a little bit of walking Rules like no booking pool chairs are completely ignored...

Hotel was ok, I liked the big colorful garden. Wifi was bad, only available at reception and kept disconnecting all the time.

Get the sea view room

Beautiful hotel with views to die for, several restaurants with lovely food on site. Each room has a balcony - definitely get the sea view room! Breakfast offers a huge array including a decent full English. Most staff speak moderately good English.

Large but friendly hotel

Large hotel on the "beach" - actualy lava but very pretty! On the edge of town so quiet but only 10- 15 min to walk in. Largely German tour groups but a single traveller was well looked after. Breakfast was good but dinner is aimed at the group market - better to walk into town. Very helpful staff. Wifi only in public areas. Beautiful sunset views. Cheap car parking and easy to find by car.

Excellent hotel!

Pros: Everything is nice. Also important is the free wifi in the hall and the free bus shuttle to town. And satelite TV with German TV and the Dutch BVN.
Cons: not much.
Location: Puerto is the nicest place to stay on the Island an it is close to Loro Park.
Clean hotel, comfortable, nice staff, good food (buffet) both in the morning and evening. If your room is at the see side realise it is the North side and your balcony is hanging above the point where the ocean waves are smashing into the shore.

Good location

Pros: Location is perfect, great ocean view. Big rooms, breakfast is ok
Cons: Need renovation. Everything is ok but seems I return to early 90 era (wifi only in the lobby, old furniture, etc)
Location: Best hotel with ocean view. Very close to Loro parque zoo

Location: location great and for me as a sportman everything is there..
everything fantastic but hotel staff looks more friendly to german people...if you speak english their smiles disappearing...

Hotel on a steep hill-staff give incorrect info

The hotel is on a steep hill so it was hard to walk up to it with cases. Staff gave us incorrect info about times the 'speedy' bus would pick us up to get back to the airport (3 hours out!). Staff also gave us incorrect times for the bus home after expeditions to a water park (they told us there would be 2options for busses back to the hotel (4 and 6 pm) when there was only one option at 5pm. The furniture is dated and some is broken (eg the drawer in our room was broken) Our towels were not replaced one day of our stay and when I called for more they said housekeeping was only open 9-5 and to call back then! Disastrous.
