A fantastic B&B, home from home, great hospitality

Pros: The owners, the location, the personal touches, the quality of the room and the view!
Cons: None
Location: It is outside the town but is close to a bus which goes directly to the falls, cheap and easy to get a taxi into town too
For me this wonderful B&B is the perfect place to stay in Iguazu. In fact from the moment I arrived it really felt like a home from home. I was greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable owner Lorana who showed me and my girlfriend to our room (with an apartment) feel which had a beautiful view of fruit trees behind it. The room was light and airy, had very quiet air conditioning and a decent bathroom and was above all very clean and well presented. It felt private as there are two rooms in a separate from the main building and you feel like the owners are there if you need them but you have your own space. Lorana and her partner also made it a priority from the start to help us with planning our days in Iguazu (they were full of helpful advice) and also provided an excellent dinner for a minimal cost on the first and last night. The breakfast was fantastic (fresh fruits, eggs, cereal, v.tasty coffee, local cakes and homemade jams) was served in the courtyard. It was also a really nice way to start the day and they were very flexible with timing. They also advised us on taking some of the leftovers to the Iguazu Falls a nice touch as the food there is overpriced and not that good). Above all, I enjoyed having conversations with the owners at all times of the day and al their helpful advice was spot on. In the end I really wanted to stay longer, three nights did not feel long enough!

Original and Relaxing Guesthouse

Homely hotel run by a sweet and helpful owner. The place is a bit hard to find at first, but it's safe, comforting, and a perfect place to relax after a day at the falls. It's charming, and the WiFi signal was strong during the day.

Pros: How new and clean the room was
Cons: Not sure what to write here!
Location: A little bit out of the way but quiet and safe and a nice walk to the bus stop
I would recommend this B&B over any of the five star hotels in this area because it was such good value for money. The room I stayed in was brand new with a lovely big (also brand new) bathroom. The room was huge with a double bed and a single bed with plenty of floor space a and large windows and lots of light. I mainly chose this accommodation based on price - most accommodation in and around Iguazu is very expensive and this was one of the cheapest I could find but I am really glad that I chose this place. The wi-fi was faster than at my place of work in Buenos Aires. The breakfast was fantastic and plenty of choice. You also get to choose when you want to eat. Lorena organised taxis for me etc and gave me plenty of advice - I doubt that you would get that personalised service at one of the typical chain hotels that charge four times the price. A lot of hotels (particularly the Sheraton, which has tired rooms and tired bathrooms with building work going on) insist that staying in or very near the park is vital but it really isn't. A ten or fifteen minute walk from Casa Yaguarate takes you to the bus stop and buses to the Falls are very frequent and cost only 10 Pesos. Taxis into town and to the Triple Frontier are very cheap and Lorena can recommend good places to go. Don't bother paying more for a standard, chain hotel - this was one of the most comfortable places I have stayed in a long time and I would recommend it to anyone!

The room was spacious , clean and new but without a fridge or a tv . The owner has two big dogs that they go to the kitchen and climb on the kitchen's bench . It is far from the city center , the waterfalls and the buses . No credit cards .
