Worst Hotel I've stayed In

Where do I begin...We were charged $250 for early check in even though our rooms were ready. My kid's room had ants on the bed and the sheets were not changed for hours. Bed was hard as a rock, breakfast was barely edible. The bathroom was outdated and the ocean water was brown. The water park was the only one cool thing about that hotel. Couldn't stay the rest of our va ation ther, so we checked out the next morning and of course were not refunded. Do not book this hotel. Their website and online listing displays false advertisement.

Wanted to cry.....

Nothing like the pictures most of the staff let people come into the restaurants in their swimsuits even though it was posted no swimsuits the staff was great over all but our bathroom had rusting and mold the beach wasn't as clean as pictured one side was OK but the other side had a ton of seaweed and gunk laying around everywhere plus massive piles out bed light spun when you would turn the light on so we had to balance it back into place balcony light was held together by electrical tape only some of the views were great the really disappointed in this hotel will never stay again!

The hotel beach had alot of seaweed, food was always the same for breakfast, they need to switch it up. The room was ok. They were selling vip section a private area which I thaught should been included that meant better liquor and access to the bed cabanas.

Not what I was expecting.

The resort was not what I was expecting. The water park is what "sold" us on reserving here, but there were many things I wish I had known. The beach was small and the water was dirty. I was ok with the small beach and the close proximity to the marina, but the water was not clear and clean like you expect in Cancun, it was dirty, cloudy and had garbage floating in the water. The resort doesn't look like it has been updated or repaired in 20 years. It was also in what I would consider a sketchy part of town kind of far from the hotel zone. I wish we had known that the "water park" isn't solely for hotel guests. It is host to many people with day passes and is dirty and crowded. Also, I hesitate to write this and sound like a snobby American, but I wish I had known that the resort caters to a local, not international crowd. Some of the staff spoke decent English, but only one other family that we came across in three days did, and they were leaving for a different resort. This was fine for my husband and me, but it was difficult for our kids as they couldn't communicate with anyone else. The shining star of our time here was the staff in the kids club. Lupita was phenomenal! She was very kind and the kids and I loved her!! After three days we ended up paying a premium to spend the last half of our vacation at a resort in the hotel zone although we had already paid for this hotel through the week. Best decision we made.

Nice Hotel away from busy streets

Pros: Liked that the hotel was not in the hotel zone away from the busy streets
Cons: The game room equipment could use a face lift-meaning the room can use a paint job and the equipment could be updated
Location: Great place to get to the boat landing nearby in case you want to go fishing or scuba diving
The hotel is great for kids looking for a water park experience. There are night shows focused for kids and are great for entertainment. The reception staff could be more receptive and and the front desk could use a make-over. More decor modernized with improvement on the check in and check out process.

Pros: The website photos are a farce compared to reality
A rip off for sure. If you enjoy the company of dead flies with your meal, then this hotel is for you.

Staff was awesome, many activities every day including dance lessons, karaoke, theater performance by staff, bike tour to nearby ruins. Kids club where you can leave the young ones for the day, my 7 year old was very happy and couldn't wait till 10 am to go there (are they open yet? Is it 10 yet?) The water park is good for smaller kids. Hotel rooms are dated and could use an update, but the activities and events more than compensated for it in our opinion. Definitely going back there!
