Jim, the owner, was great to speak with regarding everything in the area as well as the background and history of Panama, and was willing to assist or help in anything that you needed. “Great views and a relaxing time was had at this comfortable sea side duplex. We were the only renters so we had the whole yard and pool to ourselves. Bob was an excellent resident owner host and the support staff of Maria and Ilariao were perfect and there when we needed help. Getting to Michi was an adventure especially at night and at the end of Mardi Gras...the road and the citizens were a challenge. After we got the lay of the land driving the area and meeting the residents of the Portobelo……

“A nice house with ocean view was proposed. We got a house with a huge orange wall right in front of the sea. No view. House was not clean. More than half of the lightbulbs were not working. Stove and oven not working. Could not open the bedroom access to the balcony, door was in bad shape and full of crap. Not at all what we have paid for. Owner should be honest and tell remote his house with the ugly wall blocking the view. We were stolen of our few first days of vacation. We had to go……

“What a fantastic property! You could not ask for more if you plan to stay on the Caribbean side of Panama... Casa Buenaventura was perfect for our troop of 4 adults and 5 children. Clean, well appointed, lots of space... and Gabriel was the best! He met us personally upon check in to show the house, provide us with a full itinerary for 5 days of fun, beaches, private boat tour, short trips along the coast, snorkeling, and more! Additionally, Gabriel was only a quick What'sApp text away with any……

“The furnishings are worn. The second bedroom is only suitable for small children. The house is only a few metres from a busy main road with noisy traffic. The beach is unattractive. The water is too shallow for swimming. And the house is NOT in the “historic centre” of Portobelo, which is several kilometres away and consists of the ruins of a fort and a church. We were so disappointed we left after one night.”

“This is where advertisement they told me that display have AC Wi-Fi TV and they don’t have to bring a lot of money for this room and he’s not worth it I wanted to cancel the second night and the lady didn’t want to return my money back I call hotels.com and complained about it and they didn’t do nothing about it and that even cackle back from them I will never book with thing again I don’t mind paying the money if the play is right”
