Perfect for families and weddings

Pros: The plunge pool, the all inclusive value with really great food choices on your schedule, kid oriented, wedding services are great,
Cons: I believe it's just the way things are in Mexico, but the water in the shower has an unpleasant odor -- nice body wash provided helps a lot.
Location: We stayed on the property the entire time -- but Xelha and Tulum and other attractions are available.
Our son's wedding was perfect -- on the beach, dinner and dancing on the beach, truly as stress free as possible. Perfect for the kids -- great shallow play pools with activities for adults too. Great value and the food was very good for what I've experienced at an all inclusive resort. This is truly the best way to go for a family. Get a room with a plunge pool -- delightful and private.

Piece of Paradise

Pros: Service, grounds were beautiful, room was great, pools were great
Cons: The food could use some slight improvement, but it was still decent.
Location: We stayed on-property the entire time.
When we first arrived in Cancun, we had reserved to stay in an all-inclusive in the hotel zone. The minute I walked into that hotel, I had the worst experience. The staff at the front desk was rude, that they were trying to hassle us for an extra $600 because they said they didn't have our kids listed on the reservation (though I'd booked a family suite). We ended up canceling our stay there and moving to the Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort. The minute our car pulled up the gates on the the property, I was blown-away. The staff were so incredibly nice! They handed us fresh towels and champagne upon our entrance. Our room was perfect! We got a garden view room with a plunge pool off the patio - total bonus with two kids! My husband and I were able to kick back and have a drink while the kids played in the pool. And one morning the guys working on the landscaping, climbed up a coconut tree and chopped off the coconuts and gave them to my kids to drink the coconut milk. The Explorer's Club for the kids was great! I was apprehensive, as I've never left my kids in a place like that at a resort, but they LOVED it, and kept asking to go back. I had an 80 minute massage at the spa, and it was delightful. Unfortunately, I was not able to take advantage of the mineral baths because it was raining, but it was lovely nonetheless. My only complaint, and it's slight, would be the food. It was good, but not dynamic. I can imagine it's hard to develop a menu for so many varied tastes.

Cozy, family friendly, good food, infinity pool

We have now been to Cancun about four times . So I'm writing this review in light of other experiences . Best features: 1) friendly staff 2) infinity pool!! 3) beach is close and visible most of the time 4) cozy not too big, not a lot of walking to get to room and other places 5) good food!! For an all-inclusive it's actually really good food . Small portions good quality much better than large portions and bad quality that we have had another places 6) good entertainment at night 7) They have four pools. (2 are connected and shallow for kids /ping pong). It's nice when you have young swimmers are kids that do not know how to swim Infinity pool is connected to a swim up bar overlooks the ocean and it's awesome . The last pool as an activity pool volleyball etc. goes on there and it's a lot of fun . everything is super close so sometimes my kids split up and I could still watch them . Restaurants 1) Mexican was our favorite . The mariachi band there is awesome !!! The waiters are amazing . Get the shrimp! Waiters Al Fredo was awesome thank you!! but all of them are great 2) Italian. Very good . Get the scallops. Thanks Freddy who was so patient with our children and was so nice to us 3) hibachi. Only place you have to make a reservation. My husband waited in line earlier than the said time to get tables. It was worth it 4) world cafe. tasty. A lady who greets and sits everyone is so kind (was working night of 8/11) Cons: rooms

Beautiful hotel and nice staff but booooooring

I stayed with a big group on a family reunion and although the customer service was amazing; the resort itself was not for me. The room itself was beautiful. I had an ocean view, which was not so ocean view. I loved the separate shower and toilet combo. Housekeeping was lacking however, they didn't turn down service the 1st 2 days of me being there. I should have realized though because the girl was coming around 3 PM to clean my room, which was kind of late? To make matters worse; my curtains that covered the balcony, had a ton of mold and housekeeping never noticed. OH and I found an open Corona hidden in the bathroom when i left the room for half an hour. ( i don't drink alcohol at all) Security showed up and after that my room was cleaned twice a day. The food wasn't too good. The Hibachi restaurant and the Mexican restaurant were the worst. I left the Italian restaurant hungry from the little amount of food they give you. I must say that the French restaurant was amazing, best one. The buffet was good just wish they had more options like maybe Caribbean food. The pool was great since the beach wasn't fun to be at because of all the seaweed. They did try their best to keep it out but it was impossible. The pool service was great. A tip here and there helps. Overall it was a nice hotel but it was more for, in my opinion, for families with young kids. The entertainment is really lacking. Very quiet at night. Need AC in "club" & better DJ. Better entertainment overall.

As per your comments about the beach, we will like to share that our property is in a privilege location, just a few miles away from the second biggest reef in the world. As a natural process, the reef generates seaweed and this can vary according to the season and weather condition. We have a continual cleaning process to remove the seaweed from the shore, nevertheless this is a natural process that cannot be stopped or eliminated but we can apply our efforts to clean the beach without attempted against the environment. Our resort is currently certified by Rainforest Alliance and we take serious actions to decrease our impact on the environment. We truly hope someday you can give us a second chance as we are sure that we will be able to change these perceptions and show you the services and standards that has giving us countless international awards such as being a Four Diamond Resort by the AAA, receiving the Certificate of Excellence for seven consecutive years and be part of the Travelers Choice list 2017 as One of the Best Family Resorts in Mexico. Awoke to impressive sunrise view from bed, LOVED the food quality, ranging from hot dogs to elegant French and Italian dining. Superior service from great personable staff! Terrific setting for my son's white sand beach wedding!

We go there because of kids and this was our fourth stay.in general it is clean and very close to the beach .they have very nice spa and staff and restaurants are ok .
