Nice Resort. Family friendly resort. Rooms are one open room without privacy. Food is fair. Taste like cafeteria food even at the restaurants. Italian restaurant has the best food. We did not eat at French Restaurant because it was adult only and I was with my kids.

Nice Hotel quite expensive for what they offer.

Posted Nov 16, 2017
Pros: Courtesy of the staff Specially David from Puebla at the Mexican restaurant.
Cons: Entertainment and definitely food. Need to build a Theater like the others hotels in Cancun.
Location: I was not trill about the location. and if you want it to go to the town the rates are quite high.
Nice hotel but I think is little over priced for what they provide. I was told this hotel was a 5 star and had offer top shelf drinks to the people. I asked for a drink of scotch to the lobby bar and they told me that's only for the premier customers. Food I was tired of eating the same food. same dishes or type of food. Nothing change and their Entertainment really poor in compare to the Entertainment in the Cancun area hotels. I had stay several times on the 3 star hotels and their food ant Entertainment is far beyond the one at the Dreams. They rally need to pick up in that Matter. Staff besides the lobby bar was great. room was nice and clean except for the design. There is no privacy if you are taking a shower or in the Bathroom. No locks at all. I had relatives with kids and that was their no. one complaint. If you are a couple it's kind of ok but not for families. One of my other observations was. really building a restaurant next to the restaurant bar in a open area no too noisy and unsafe. Beach is clean except for the water. I was expecting to see the nice and clear sea like Cancun but it was more like the water at the pacific Ocean dark and dirty.

Small resort walking distance construction going

Posted Nov 9, 2017
We where at the Dreams Riviera Cancun to celebrate our wedding November 2017. The resort is ok the only bad thing is the resort is on construction where is the big infinity pool. Is not what we expected when we ask if renovation or construction was going on the answer was No!!! The Gazibo is right beside the pool so you have people all over so there is no privacy. We had no hot water for 2 days and a bad smell coming from the sewer. When we complaint they offer us to change us to a room which looks into a alley full of garbage. The shows where cancel two times in a row.

Nice Resort Right on the Beach

Posted Nov 8, 2017
Pros: Every member of the staff was wonderful. They couldn't do enough for us
Cons: It would be nice if there was some type of dresser in the room to put clothes in. Leave the pools open past 7:00 p.m. They were closed much too early
This was our first experience at an all inclusive resort and it was great. The one main downfall on this trip was that the swim-up bar was closed and boarded up, which we were not made aware of. It was not a very appealing look. Also, though not really a downfall, but somewhat of annoyance were all the weddings. There were at least one or two every night we were there. They closed off the hot tubs to the guests, which I didn't feel was fair and the music was VERY loud until after 11:00 p.m. It would be nice if they had a separate location to hold these rather than right where all the other guests are trying to enjoy their time there.

Even though one restaurant is close, their menu is offered at the Seaside Grill restaurant (recently renovated) and we adapted a bar by the Infinity Pool to offer drink service in the pool. It is important to share that all changes and renovations are thought out to keep offering optimal facilities to our guest. Please allow us to share that even though we are a family resort, we also have other visitors such as couples for romantic getaways, group of friends, for meetings and conventions or like you for a wedding destination. Hotel was lovely, staff were so friendly and helpful. All the food we ate was incredible. The rooms were a bit noisy, the walls were quite thin so we could hear people in the rooms around us. Overall we had a lovely stay.

If you like weddings THIS IS THE HOTEL for you.

Posted Nov 4, 2017
So my husband and I were on our honeymoon when we went to Dreams Riviera. We were so excited. I read reviews about how the weddings were bothersome to some travelers but we both thought “what’s the big deal?”.... Oh my goodness!! This place was awful! There are weddings everyday the wedd By cerominy it’s self was not a big deal when we had to move from the area when it would take place that was fine we had plenty of room to still have fun away from wedding.... but when the reception arrives... oh my gosh! The wedding staff and resort are so rude when it comes to there travelers I promise on everything you could hear everything outside and in hallways when you door was shut in your room. My husband and I didn’t get much sleep during our stay because of the emotion music and it would play until 11pm-12am then the drunken guest would be so loud in hallways until about 1am.... we would call down to front desk and all they would say is “sorry” ..... Many other travelers were annoyed as well. I would never recommend this place ever. Our honeymoon was defiantly a memory it was awful. We were never able to sit on our belcony at night and listen to the ocean waves and drink a beer in peace because of the very loud wedding DJ and music from weddings and light show from the weddings. Dreams Riviera is not a resort it’s a wedding venue. Vacationers come 2nd when you stay here. ........ good luck.

Dear Dean, Greetings from this amazing destination! Thank you very much for choosing our resort to spend your honeymoon celebration in the Mexican Caribbean. On the other side it is quite understandable, that sometimes our service and standards do not fulfill our guests’ expectations however we totally value our guests’ opinions since they let us know how you really perceive our resort and clearly show us what we need to maintain and show us those areas where we still need to keep improving. Please allow us to share that even though we are a family resort, we also have many other visitors such as couples for romantic getaways, group of friends, for meetings and conventions and as a wedding destination. Our main goal will always be to fulfill all of our guest’s expectations and needs, we know this could be quite complicated as everyone has different preferences however we will always do our very best. It would be really important to share that the private events do not last longer than 11:00 pm in order to not disturb the other guests in the resort. We truly hope someday you can give us a second chance as we are sure that we will be able to change these perceptions and show you the services and standards that gave us countless international awards such as being a Four Diamond Resort by the AAA, receiving the Certificate of Excellence for six years in a row and be part of the Travelers Choice list 2017. beatiful, not to big hotel with all the amenities

Posted Oct 19, 2017
Pros: the size, the staff, the food. we saw almost 2 weddings daily, they were beautiful , well organized and we enjoyed the mariachis too lol
Cons: i think that the italian restaurant needs an update, the food is however super good
Location: nearby puerto morelos, we did the bike excursion and it takes literally 10-15 min, nearby the airport.
My family and I loved it there. We traveled with a toddler and the fact that even though has it all , is not that big, was a plus. My son loved the kids pool and the kids explorer club. It was easy to move around and the staff was always incredible. They have good singers at the lobby each night and some activities too. The restaurants are good, the one that we like the least was the japanese. Some cons is that I think that the italian needs an update and that in high season it can get complicated to get a table because they are not that big, but we enjoy the food very much, perhaps to much lol. another cons is that is was a little noisy during the day to take a nap. i would highly recommend this hotel , because we felt like at home

Disappointing

Posted Oct 16, 2017
Pros: Grounds and pool are gorgeous.
Cons: More pool activities. Less weddings.
Location: About 25 minute drive from the airport. Didn't venture out.
I visited the hotel this past week of 10/08-10/13 with my husband, two small daughters, and my inlaws. I had previously visited this hotel in May 2012. It definitely isn't how I remember it. Room was nice -- we chose one with the plunge pool. However, I think this hotels main focus is weddings--there was one if not multiple every day we were there. I think it takes away from the pool activities, since they basically stop like at 3pm to accommodate the weddings onsite. Restaurants were good for the most part. Unfortunately, the buffet left much to be desired. On Monday, there was no bacon. How do you not have bacon at an all inclusive? Or hash browns? Or sausage? We literally had to beg the ppl behind the buffet line for bacon. You should not be hiding bacon in the back at an all inclusive. The finally had bacon on one of the hot trays, the final day we were there only after we complained. Not a big selection for the buffet. Fruits didn't seem ripe. It's as if they were just throwing stuff together and putting it out. I think management is poor and has changed since the last time. Waiters was a hit or miss. Constantly had empty drink. Had to stand up several times and walk over to their station to grab the juice myself. Some staff were nice and greeted all the time, others had a rude/bothered face. If a hotel these days cannot have eggs/bacon/hash browns on their breakfast buffet at all times, it's a no-no. Skip this hotel.
