Beautiful hotel but the beach was a big disappoint

Very nice family hotel. Brought the kids along and they had a ball. Wait staff wasn’t as attentive as other resorts but they were always willing to please. My only complaint this that ALL of the alcoholic drinks had ARTIFICIAL SWEETNER in it. I noticed it on the first sip on the first drink and immediately said “yuck, this pina colada tastes like a diet drink” then put it down. Little did I know that they used it in all drinks. After we checked in and ate, we went to the pool. I swam up to the pool bar and inquired about drinks without that nasty artificial sweetner and to my dismay, I was told that they use it in every mixed drink. I immediately refrained from mixed drinks as I cannot stand the nasty after taste of artificial sweetner. Overall it was a good trip but I will not return until they start using regular sweetners in their mixed drinks.

Got upgraded to ventus, sister resort. Only 6 months old with exemplary conditions.

Great food and staff. Hotel in front of the beach and near to a big and beautiful reef.

When we arrived at 4pm, we were given a hotel room but the room was not ready. We were asked to wait an hour to receive our room while many other people were checking in. This was extremely disappointing for a first impression. We checked back in 45 minutes later and they were able to give us an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi which I really appreciated BUT because they were busy, they were only able to give us 1 key card for the night. They asked us to return the following day for another. Later that evening after a few hours of drinking and eating, we were ready to head back to our room as we were exhausted! The key card was now not working. This was extremely frustrating considering how tired we were and the distance of our hotel to the main lobby. Overall, it was a mediocre experience. The side excursions offered were great. The staff was phenomenal and the food was decent. The only other thing I did not enjoy was the wait time for our food at dinner reservations. We assumed it was because we had a large party, however, even when we had a reservation for a smaller group, it still took just as long. We were having dinner for well over 2 hours because the food took so long. Again, the food was just decent. Pools were great and plentiful, which I loved. Massage and hydrotherapy, including the gym was a plus plus.

Great staff and great maintenance over all, great band playing at the lobby. Food was very tasty. Cooks and Waiters are very welcoming and friendly .
