Wonderful property! Great location. Staff onsite is a little overzealous when enforcing rules. There are 2 separate check in points for Las Gaviotas. First you check in to a pick-up a key and sign paperwork at an off site office. When you arrive at the property you check in, sign paperwork, and receive wristbands for you and each guest from the property manager onsite. When we arrived the on site property manager was already gone for the day. That night we were questioned by multiple staff as to why we were not wearing wristbands. It started to feel overbearing as I was there legally and a paying customer. When we left early the next morning the property manager was not yet there. When we arrived back to the property we were questioned aggressively by the onsite property manager as to why we had not yet checked in with him. I explained that he was not there when we arrived the night before or before our departure that morning. He demanded we come to the office and check in (I had both hands full with multiple bags of groceries). The property manager was very rude to myself and my guests and made us feel as though we had done something wrong. He told us the next time we visited we had to check in with him first. Very rude and there was no reason for it. I appreciate the staff keeping the property safe and with paying customers only but this was over the top considering there was no way for me to check in since he wasn't there.
The space itself
Cons: The onsite property manager is extremely rude.
