They didn't have our Expedia booking.
Despite no booking and no hot water, a/c or bathroom light, or any other guests the staff were superb and did everything they could to make us welcome. They even headed to the supermarket to buy what we wanted for breakfast. Will maybe try again when they have more guests. The upside was we had the pool to ourselves.

Receptionist was sleeping when we arrived and were unable to check in. Looked like it was deserted. Unable to tell you about condition. We had to find other accommodations.

The hotel is not that good
When I got to the hotel they didn't have my reservations in the system and the guy in the reception spend almost 35 minutes looking for my reservations and then after 35 minutes waiting they let's me to getting they give the room keys and spend one night there the place is ok the staff are nice but the room is not that good but definitely I don't recommend this hotel to not body......

The place was nice enough but fri what I understand new Owners r taking over so things were a little confusing. Staff was AWSOME just wish they spoke a little more English plus they had had some fooding due to the rain there nothing they can do about that. I would go back. It's is not downtown but it's nicer that way.

Hotel needs to improve in many ways
The hotel has very friendly staff willing to help the guests with anything they need. Everything else needs to improve significantly. The property is old and nothing is in good shape. AC and bathtub drain did not work well. Rooms need to be cleaned better. Towels are old and stained. Food is not very good and not much variety. Beach chairs are old and broken. Billiard is torn. Plants in hallways are dry, dead, ugly.

Service was low average. Amenities were okay, food was standard but in low quantities. Over all we looking at a 2 star hotel in a bad location, with bad service. This is a hotel probably for locals, or a couple that does not want to be disturb . I was not happy with this adventure .

Good food Friendly Staff.
Spend three nights, because of low season there was not much guests, I the surrounding area a lot of hotels and resorts have gone out of business or clossed down, this is the only resort that is open in the area. All the staff were nice and polite. Food was good and fresh. I would go back to this place and would recommend it to people who are looking for budget al inclusive. I find it cheaper to book it online that going to the resort directly to book.

First able the service was worse the food most of the time was salty and uncooked.they are not entertaining. During at night in the bar the beverage was also bad quality not any alcohol for doing. Is the worse place i have never seen before in the pool the water was dirty they never clining up

First comm to hotel,first room ,toilet not flashing,they change to second room,air conditioner is not working,they change for room number 3,beds i pay shut be two King side,but they give to me to Queen side beds.. No WI FI in the rooms only in the hotel lobby.,no internet,no telephones in the room.

Quiet hotel
Was very quiet hotel. Not too many people there. Was on the beach which was nice. Hotel was a little old but staff was great. Food was very good. Liquor was average but beer was not good. Worst part about the hotel was that the pool was not kept clean. I enjoyed myself. I paid for a 2 or 3 star hotel and didn't expect a 5 star hotel. If you are looking for excitement do not come here. If you are looking for a quiet place to rest with a great staff and you don't come with high expectations then give it a try. I would return but probably would not recommend. They had free wifi but they have to clean the pool for people to better enjoy.

Horrible experience
This hotel should not even be advertised. I thought I had booked the best suite on the resort, paid extra, and it wasn't much different from others. We had to change rooms three times in a four day trip. Rusted washrooms, no water pressure, NO WATER (!!), cockroaches.... and that's just some of the problems we had. Staff was okay, but the facility was disgusting.

The main issue was that we arrived the reservation they had said we did not book all inclusive but room and breakfast only. The place was nice but everything just needed a fresh coat of paint. The food was just mediocre. Also, it was a little out of the way from downtown Cabarete although gua guas and taxis were easily available. The positives-The staff was fantastic. They were the most friendly folks you will find. Also the beach rarely had more than a half dozen people on it so you could have all the space you could want. As long as you aren't looking for anything fancy this place does the job.

I needed a place to sleep that was close to Cabarete and this was the only hotel I could find short notice on New Years Eve. Definitely would never return due to the run down condition.

Once is enough
Apparently the hotel is going through a transitional stage. A change of management of some kind. The staff is very friendly and tries its best to cover for all the issues that the hotel does not have going for them. The food could be simple and yet be tasteful but it is simply not attractive. It'd seem that it is the cheapest quality. I certainly would not recommend it to anybody.

The pictures are deceiving. The "resort" appeared to be abandoned and the beach was not lit at night which appeared to be uninviting and dangerous. The staff tried to be helpful but overall the appearance was shabby.

Poor hotel trip
I was promised a king size bed and got a full size bed. The free breakfast was first come first served. No bread was left or butter.very hard dried cake for desert. No little refrigerator available. Far from the city of Cabarete. Hot water good but no ice containers offered.

Our stay was filled with fun and excitements... The food was great, rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful. This resort was very easy to get to and close to some sites. We would definitely recommend this resort.

not a good experience
Our experience was awfull, rooms are ugly, hotel structure is on bad conditions, you feel unsafe, its difficult to get to the hotel, the food is bad, the bathroom was dirty, the bathup was broken no water, the A/C they turn it off entirely on the morning, theres nothing to do on the hotel, although all this bad things the personnel is very good and very polite.

All inclusive, but leaving much to be desired
I stayed here with my 3 girlfriends for a few days of relaxation. We stayed during the off-tourist season, and were probably 4 of about 12 total guests at the resort at the end of April. The other guests were all sleezy American men with their Dominican prostitutes, which made for a sour atmosphere when hanging out around the pool and at dinner. The pools were beautiful (there are two of them, one is quieter and one is supposed to be a party atmosphere). The food and drinks were disappointing at best. I am not a picky eater, but I found myself barely eating anything at the meals because nothing was palatable - the food was very salty and not very flavorful. The drinks were hit or miss - the most disappointing was that the beer from the tap was most certainly not Presidente, which the bartender said they were serving us. The rooms were hit or miss as well. My room's bathroom door and walls were molding away, but my friend's room was nicer. Also, when I accidentally locked my key in the room, their solution was to climb into the room via the outside window, which made me feel entirely unsafe and relieved that I was checking out later that day. Overall, I would say skip this place and spend the money on something a little nicer and higher quality.

The Celuisma Hotel in Cabarete
There's almost no water in the shower, so I could'nt wash my hair at the hotelroom, I had to wash it in the shower by the pool. There isn't hot water in the showers. Our toilet worked now and then. There was no toilet paper or soap available at the toilets by the pool so you have to go in the bar first to ask for napkins. The water in the pool is dirty (flies, leaf etc). The staff is not very helpful. Overall it's an annoing hotel.. The good thing about it was the food, it was ok. Except for that they don't refill, so don't be late for breakfast.

This place is a dump and should not be listed here. Quite frankly I was embarrassed to even step foot in the lobby. I had to pay for another hotel after I saw that piece of crap. Please Folks stay away from this dump in Puerto Plata in Dominican Republic.

I made a reservation to a hotel in the Cabarete Beach, based in the pictures and the information you posted in the internet. Have you ever revised the publicity you offer? I dont think so. The hotel was the worst I have seen, Dirty, all aged, the seats completely rusted, the beach was not suitable to swim, yje air conditioning did not work, the bed sheets were dirty, overused and torned. The bathroon was full of fungus, the swimming pool was green ans fishy smelly, did not have a parking lot, must park the cars out in the street. The door were rusty and did not have any secure, must put the bed toward the door to havely secure....

Room was disgusting, the sheets felt like paper. There is only 1 bar and half the time it was closed. The hotel is about a mile down a side street far off the cabarete strip. You will need to take a cab everywhere. The only nice part is the cabanas surronding the pool. Oh and the hotel is so old fashioned it even uses an acutal room key as opposed to a swipe card.

Nice out of the way place
This is a nice little resort away from from the hustle and bustle of the big tourist areas. The beach is amazing. The resort is older and in need of general maintenance, but it's location and attention to service makes that easy to over look. The AC in our room didn't work so the friendly staff moved us into a larger room where everything worked great. The food at the buffet is to die for. Some of the best we had on the island.

Fair hotel, expecting better, wouldn't go back
The people working at the hotel were extremely nice. My problems were with the rooms mostly. The room was very stuffy and the lighting was horrible--the furniture was falling apart (front of the cabinet just fell off). The bathroom light was flourescent and very dark--couldn't see well at all. The water pressure was just a trickle ( and though I know the area is a bit remote--I expected a little more). The room just wasn't comfortable. The food was fair as is the case with most all inclusives, but the service staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel played really bad Kenny G music all waking hours--and at times pop/house music til too late at night-- it was the holidays, so this may not happen all the time. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was not heated--same temp as the regular pool-- that was disappointing.

Know before you go
The hotel is a bit off the center of Cabarete which requires a $10 one way taxi ride into town so it can be a bit of an inconvenience and expensive since there are no discos, stores or entertainment in the hotels vecinity. On the plus side the hotel has it's own easy access to the beach with minimal vendor hassle. The hotel is not very modern and lacks phones in the rooms, reliable internet access (only 2 computers available for 50 pesos every 15 minutes), room towls and toilet paper are scarced. Snacks and drinks are not available 24 hours a day so buy some munchies to keep in your room which on the plus side have a small fridge. The majority of the guest during our December/January stay were middled aged couples (late 40's to 50's) with teenage children so if you are young or single you might be bored out of your mind. The staff are nice and friendly and very helpful. If you want peace and quite and minimal exposure to Dominican culture then this is a good choice if on the other hand you want to experience the cultture and be around people then opt for a hotel in the center of town.
