The hotel is on the smaller side, but it has everything you need. There's lots of entertainment throughout the day, the food is good, the restaurants are nice, the beach is clean (although they desperately need new beach lounge chairs). Didn't like that there were people trying to sell you things on the beach, but they weren't too obnoxious and I understand that they were just doing their job. The cleaning staff doesn't really clean the rooms, they just make it look as if they cleaned by making the beds and such. The cleaning staff also took the tip money from under a note we left regarding a leaky bathroom and an extra bed, but ignored the note, which is kind of a shame.

Great hotel, dirty beach

Loved the hotel, food and service. The beach hasn't been raked even once throughout our stay. Tons of see weed and garbage. Tons of garbage further down on the beach near resort.

Cardio Equipment needs updating in exercise room

When we arrived there were 3 treadmills. These treadmills are very old. One was out of service, the second one only went up to walking speed and the third one kind of worked. On my second visit to the exercise room there was one treadmill that only went up walking speed. Disappointing!

Wonderful resort. Excellent food and comfy beds. Rooms need updating. Otherwise an amazing vacation! Thanks to Lennie at the front desk for taking care of our needs.

Nice hotel, on the beach

Pros: Excellent Staff
Cons: Mediterranean restaurant and staff at the restaurant
Location: Not far from downtown by taxi or Teleferico or anything Puerto Plata has to offer.
Excellent staff, excellent buffet food, Japanese and Mexican restaurants were great, but Mediterranean was not so good. Room maid was great and accommodating.

Pros: The staff were very friendly & helpful.
Cons: Please make the areas leading to the restaurants smoke free. I have asthma & my husband is allergic to cigarette smoke Not healthy for children either
Location: Loved the snorkeling excursion to Paradise Isla & cable ride.
Enjoyed being able to swim in the ocean. I would recommend your hotel but let people know that smoking is allowed in most areas & hard to get away from.

Pros: The pool is great.
Cons: This was the first time that we had a problem with mosquitoes in our room.
Location: Disco and casino next door.
Repeat customers who will return at least yearly often more because the staff are even better than the facilities.

This is a decent all inclusive but by no means at the standard of other Iberostar hotels. We got a good deal on this hotel and were not disappointed, but I would not want to pay full price. The hotel grounds are absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The beach is very spacious to compare with Punta Cana. There was never an issue getting a bed, even later in the day. the food is not bad but gets very repetitive after few days. Between our family we had 3 rooms and all were in very good condition. I saw a lot of bad reviews about the rooms so I guess some are renovated. We paid extra for ocean view and end up in building 5. It’s not worth it. Our room was on the 3rd floor and all you can see is palm trees. Also it was right above the “club members” only bar which I have not seen anybody use even once during 7 day stay. However, every morning at 7am staff start cleaning this bar and talking to each other extremely loudly. If you like your drinks to be served on the beach, the swimming pool or in the bar areas in the evening, there is no such thing in this hotel. You need to get your own drinks at all times. The cups are extremely small at the beach bar and the bar is not that close to the beach. The drinks are watered down and even though they have some premium brands, the staff were very unhappy to offer it unless you heavily tip. We do tip on all our trips but in this hotel it hardly made a difference.

Nice beach and Pool

Pros: The five 5 rating and it very well EARNED
Cons: More restaurants
Location: Easy access to buses and the Lobby staff are very good to inform you to any guidance.
My husband and I really enjoyed our vacation, Thanks to Miguel at the lobby. Also to Kenndy the waiter very friendly staff and we would go back. Recommend to stay at the Pool area rooms they are very close to everything. The shows are very nice and entertaining The dancers are very professional. If you go there have question they are very helpful.
