Best hotel in Cabarete

Posted Jun 23, 2016
My wife and I shared a relaxing week vacation here and were extremely pleased with that decision. I feel pretty certain this is the nicest hotel (non all inclusive) available in all of Cabarete - with surprisingly reasonable rates. The infinity pool perfectly overlooking the ocean will remain the best feature. Great onsite restaurant adjoining the pool and beach - breakfast through dinner daily. The hotel is laid out very well to maximize views and I thought the basic oceanfront room offered plenty of amenities and space for 2 people. Very clean, contemporary and comfortable would be good descriptions. The hotel is so conveniently located close to all of the best parts of Cabarete. You have a 5 minute walk to basically anything you want to do. Also, free wifi throughout the hotel and grounds. OK, so for the negatives - and it is a small list. I think due to the concrete construction, the footsteps and furniture scraping sounds from the above neighbors was a constant annoyance. You can't hear voices, or toilets flushing but a steady thud every time they moved a step. Lastly and so minor, but I wish they refilled the free coffee/cream/sugar in the rooms daily. They offer a shop in the restaurant where you can purchase these along with water/beer/wine/etc but I kind of expect free coffee to be a norm. All in all, if I were to return to Cabarete - I wouldn't think twice staying here or even bother shopping rates.

Glad we chose this hotel!

Pros: Room was clean + modern. TV w/US channels + fridge + comfortable bed. AC is avail, although we slept with the windows open to hear the ocean :)
Cons: The folks peddling goods on the beach are a little annoying but usually very nice. Beware the boys who give you a flower and then ask for money later
Location: The near by restaurants + bars are a walk away near the end of the beach. We absolutely loved all of them, food is so delicious and very affordable.
My boyfriend and I took a trip back in April and had a great time! Even though we were there off-season, the hotel was very clean and staff was helpful and friendly. There's only so much room by the pool + the ocean was very rough during this time. Lucky we were off-season so there were no crowds but we could only imagine how insane it would get! There are no beach chairs really, but they will supply lounges to take onto the beach where you can sit under the shade of a few palm trees. Kite boarding school is right next door for interested parties. I was not interested so I can't comment on that. I do think that during the on-season, the beach/water probably gets really clogged with kite boarders... The food at the hotel is pretty good but almost 2x the price of the bar/restaurant area, which is just a scenic 10 minute walk from the hotel. NOTE: Don't try to leave through the front of the hotel! The roads and cars are CRAZY and there are no true sidewalks so go out the back and walk along the beach. Hard to complain when the waterside is your best travel option though… The seafood platters at the restaurants are delicious, drinks are strong and you can walk through the restaurants to get to the kiosks/boutiques in the immediate town. Gorgeous jewellery, trinkets and good cigars. Exploring was great fun and we made friends. We bought rum and kept it in the fridge for a nightcap after dinner and drinks. Yum!

there was out of control guests by the pool with loud rap music and inconsiderate behavior, it drove all the people away that were trying to relax, unfortunate when you have only a short time for vacation.

A dream place!!!

Wonderful, friendly place. Beautiful beach, great place for wind and kite surfing. We were together with our very young grandchildren , and turned out this was fantastic choice, kids played on the beach in the morning, beach chairs were always ready for us under the palm trees, Aqua restaurant was serving drinks and food on the beach. This was a dream vacation . And did I mentioned infinity pool? It was our second visit in Millennium resort and we will be back next year.

Hotel mit gehobenem Standard direkt am Strand

Posted Apr 6, 2016

Kiteboarding Vacation

Posted Mar 28, 2016 on Hotels
This was a kiteboarding trip for my husband and relaxation for myself. It worked out perfectly for both. The kiteboarding school was right behind the hotel which made it easy to walk right out for lessons and I could watch from the comfort of the pool. The hotel was very nice and clean and the restaurant was very good. The walk to town was about 10 minutes down the beach and there were lots of good restaurants there to try out. The hotel and it's location were perfect!

The only problem we had was the bath floor was slippery and my daughter fell .
