A nice older hotel conveniently located

We've stayed at the Legend Hotel many times and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly, courteous and very helpful. Free can pickup and drop off at airport. The bathrooms are tiny with barely enough room to turn around. Some plumbing issues, but water pressure okay. You have to request hand towels and sign a chit for them, but no charge. There is no deposit required at check-in. Buffet breakfast is P399 if you didn't get it with the room on booking. Dinner service can be slow even with minimal patrons. Menu limited. Food has large portions and is good quality. Construction noise from upper floors was loud in dining areas and in some guest rooms. Internet access was okay but slow. Not a fan of the biblical pages on key cards, paper schools in bowl at front desk or electric signage. Although beer and wine are available, there were no mixed drinks served.

Legend hotel Palawan

The Legend hotel in Palawan is a very good value for money hotel. sure it's a little rough round the edges but the owners are in the process of redevelopment now as of ( Jan 2018 ) but it didn't trouble us at all, our room was very quiet and peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and approachable and had that Filipino smile thing going on. There's also some tricycle chap's just outside the hotel most nights and that's very good for getting about town as fifty pesos seems to be the go anywhere in town rate. The breakfast could do with a bit of a boost, but for the price it's not too bad really. Overall I would recommend this hotel if you ever find yourself in the beautiful island of Palawan. Excellent value for money.. cheers!

Stay at The Legend. Best Value in Palawan!!!

Pros: EVERYTHING
Cons: It could not have been better!
Location: The Beach was spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed the Underground River and the caves. The SM Mall was massive and had many restaurants.
My family is very blessed. We have been on seven vacations this year and have stayed at 4.5 Star and 5 Star Hotels throughout the Philippines. I am pleased to recommend The Legend Hotel. The staff was wonderful and made us feel welcome; they were not phony and patronizingly pleasant, they genuinely cared about our experience. While this hotel is the second oldest on the island, the stately character of the facility improved as it aged. That not withstanding, upgrades and remodeling were ongoing. The restaurant was not pretentious and delivered quality dining and room service with a limited, but more than adequate selection of menu items. I have nothing negative to assert about our experience. I have not been compensated for my review and my family will return to The Legend. My heart felt thanks for making this visit very memorable.

Way to go

Had a great time here. Comfy room, friendly staff, better breakfast food vs nearby hotels, very near key places (airport, robinsons, and SM). Used expedia to book that's why I can't really speak in terms of price vs worth. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience for a 3-star hotel. Will certainly book here again when I visit Puerto Princesa. Way to go!

The hotel is close to the new airport. They have a variety of food for the breakfast.

Nice hotel

Pros: The price was very rea reasonable,everything was provided,free breakfast,free bottled water,free slippers,get bathrobe,rooms and bed were big
Location: Close to the mall 5 mins ride,5mins ride to souvenir shops
Nice hotel,staff at front desk were helpful,our deluxe room was big with 2 beds.It's just 5 mins tricycle ride goin to Robinson mall for lunch or dinner.The breakfast was good with different choices fr cereal,salad and continental breakfast choices and they open early too at 530am,and our tour pick up was 645am.The airconditioner was upto date and cool at this time of the year which is summer in the Philippines.And the shuttle goin to the airport is free,Definitely would go back again and recommend this hotel.

accessible to places, friendly staff

Pros: close to places, comfortable stay
Location: close to honda bay, souvenir shop, accesible to other tourist attraction, a tricycle ride away to baywalk.
me and my family had a very pleasant experience.. Breakfast at Tanglaw restaurant was good. rooms are decent size . The staff accomodated our needs.

Has potential, it work is needed

Upon arriving, the lobby is beautiful and classy, and the staff was attentive and we peasant. They were some of the friendliest personnel we've encountered on our trip and deserve commendation for their professionalism. However, things went downhill when we came to the room. We did reserve a small room on the cheaper end of those available, but I still expected more than we received. Outside the room was a plastic bottle filled with water and cigarette butts, not the sight you want to see when arriving. The room was tiny and smelled musty, the bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke and was dingy, and the beds were simple foam mats and not at all comfortable. The Legend may have have been the jewel of Puerto Princess at one time, and it certainly has potential, but today it is in dire need of maintenance and modernization.
