Posted Jul 24, 2016
Our experience at Windows Chimes was terrible. We experienced very Unprofessional Staff Members and most No Parking. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location

Would be an amazing hotel if it were updated. Has much potential. Overall, it's quiet, quaint, clean.

Staff very nice and always willing to help. Close to the beach in centric location, but difficult to find parking. Even though I would recommend it. Beach is clean and quite. Very close to airport and Old San Juan. Great experience!

The hotel is reasonably priced and very convenient to the beach. The front desk staff go out of their way to be helpful.

Nice location, cheap, run down hotel in Condado.

Posted Jun 9, 2016
Pros: Location and price. You get what you paid for. Check pictures
Cons: Customer service, please train those guys!!!!! also Hotel needs full overhaul, furniture, bathrooms tiles, etc. Very old and not maintained.
Location: Great location at the far East of Condado. Block away from beach and 4 blocks from restaurants and mini markets. NO parking.
Definitely not a Boutique Hotel..... Good things first, great location at the end of Condado area. Block away from the Condado beach, very calm area. Walking distance from restaurants and bars (4 blocks to 10 blocks to restaurants). Cheap Bar in premises. Nice Spanish/Puerto Rican colonial OLD house. Keep in mind I said OLD..... Some issues you will face: Customer Service in my 5 interactions was bad. Always great attitude, polite, but completely useless answers (check in, check out, recommendations, special requests). Examples: on recommendations to go, time events were happening, requested late check out (one hour till 12) and was denied it (even thought the Expedia App showed 5 empty rooms open for booking). Safe Box in room did not have a key, Front desk could not find one. Did not offer replacement... Wi-Fi included only in public areas, will not work in room. Maintenance is spotty at best. Room did not have hot water in sink, just in the shower. Tiles were 5 different colors, for 5 different fixes they did. See pics Old rattan furniture that needs replacement ASAP! (good mattress thought) and OK linens Clean room, just did not replaced toilet paper on third day... Some things you know when booking, NO parking in hotel, no street parking around. NO elevator. Tiny pool for 9 people max occupancy. What you do not know is bad customer service and old furniture, bad maintenance. Cheap if you get it for around $ 60. If not avoid and find a nicer place.

overpriced, snooty, unfriendly

Posted May 12, 2016
Pros: clean, relatively comfortable
Cons: Customer service!
Location: Location was ok, nice neighborhood, not too far from the beach.
The staff was not customer service oriented at all. It seemed as though they felt they were doing you a favor to acknowledge your existence, let alone help you after a delay.

Meh

Hote staff was very nice and helpful, but maid service sucked. They never made bed, changed linens, swept floor. Room was very small with limited amenities, no bathtub/only shower, no microwave, no iron/board, no blow dryer. Neighborhood a bit sketchy, walked 15 minutes to get to the better part of town with the restaurants and stores. Very far from Old San Juan, 20 min drive. Only plus is proximity to beach and price. There's better, get a room on Ashford Ave.

A una cuadra de la playa

Posted Apr 20, 2016 on Hotels

Avoid this hotel avoid Windchimes boutique hotel.

AVOID THIS HOTEL. I did not actually stay at this hotel. The reason I did not stay was that it was Disgusting. This hotel was filthy in a bad neighborhood cramped mildewy and moldy. However the hotel charged me the entire amount over 386. The windows were sealed shut the room smelled it was dark and a sensually a basement. The television was over 30 years old. Now, I am not in Puerto Rico to watch television but I was worried that it would actually catch on fire if it accidentally turned on. I complained to the main desk I was told there was nothing they could do. The receptionist then get on the phone and began to speak to his "boss" in Spanish. On knowingly to him I speak fluent Spanish. I did understand when he called me a crazy gringa. This was really unacceptable. Even though I had not set foot into the room. They were rude condescending and the place was a pit. The "cool" is really more of an outside bathtub.
