Cute Building. Close to beach. Basic Rooms

Posted May 21, 2016
Overall not bad. The building is welcoming. Staff is courteous. Our room had a decent bed. The bathroom was ok, but could easily be trimmed up. A rug in the room would have greatly added to comfort.

Excellent botique in the heart of Condado

Posted Apr 25, 2016
This was an excellent botique hotel and a great value. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Condado, close to cafes, bars and the beach, as well as excellent restaurants. We also got to use the pool, and towels, at its sister hotel, The Chimes Inn. The hotel is clean, artfully decorated and quiet. Also, the Spanish Colonial architecture gives the hotel special charm. Special thanks to the wonderful staff: Christopher, Pablo del Valle, Fernando, Neriam, and Ivelisse. We will definately be back.

Perfect location close to the beach, restaurants, cvs and night clubs. Only 15min from old san juan by car. The hotel was very clean, my room was comfortable and the staff was fine. They have a kitchen there so you can use it to keep your food they also have free coffee and tea every day from 8-10am. The hotel is very safe, I stayed for 1 week and I would recommend it for sure!

Nice, charming hotel in a great location

Posted Apr 17, 2016
I enjoyed my stay at the Canario Boutique hotel. The staff was fantastic! The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach, and Old San Juan, and surrounded by nice places to eat. I wasn't as impressed with my room. The bathroom was very cramped, and the water in the shower didn't get hot. But overall, I had a nice stay, and the location of the hotel was perfect for me.

GREAT location!

Posted Mar 7, 2016
Cons: Deeper cleaning of the bathroom.
We stayed at Canario for 4 nights. Simple, cute and exactly what I expected from a reasonably priced boutique hotel. I'd suggest this hotel to travelers who will spend a good portion of their time exploring PR as the rooms are quite small. The location is GREAT! Everything is accessible from Condado via walking, bus or taxi. I'm a big fan of the restaurants directly in front of or walking distance from the hotel. Do try Cocina Abierta, Pinky's, Crepe Maker, Tayzan, Alibab, etc. You'll thank me :).

Pros: Easy, friendly, helpful environment.

Location: In the middle of the Canario District. Easy access to inexpensive food and drink. A short walk to food and drug stores, restaurants, beach, etc.
Overall, exactly as advertised. It is a pension. Diverse clientele. Many Europeans. Comfortable, informal, pleasant, helpful, clean environment. For the $ an excellent buy.
