Great little placePosted Jul 9, 2015 on Hotels
Right in the heart of Old San Juan. Could easily walk to any part of town or the cruise terminal. It was in a busy part of town so it was a little loud but didn't bother us at all.

I'd Stay Again!Posted Jun 25, 2015 on Hotels
While I didn't pay the going rate for the room at the Cervantes, I expected more for the type of room and hotel I stayed in. I definitely wouldn't call it luxurious, they maintained the traditional exterior. However, if you expected the same in the inside, it had a clean, simple design throughout (not a lot of clutter and local artifacts). The featured pictures of the hotel were taken from incredible angles and lighting that it diffidently highlighted its best features. The location was a highlight. It was close to many sights and great restaurants. The staff were great, which made the trip.

Not enough facilitiesboperatingPosted Jun 1, 2015
Pros: staff were nice and it's near restaurants.
Cons: needs a bar, restaurant, coffee in room etc
Luckily we only stayed for one night so weren't totally put out by the fact that there was no internet in the rooms (they have been waiting for engineer for a while apparently),ñ there was no bar or restaurant (staff apparently on vacation for two weeks) and Sunday breakfast didn't start until 8.30am. There are no hot drink facilities in the room and although the staff offered to put the coffe on a bit before breakfast time it still didn't really allow us to have any before leaving for the airport for a 10.00am flight. For what was actually a B and B,nin our case not even with the breakfast with no facilities and no meals or bar I think it was totally overpriced and to be honest, misrepresented.

Great location in Old San JuanPosted May 20, 2015 on Hotels
We loved Hotel Cervantes! It was walking distance to everything in Old San Juan and a short ($21) taxi ride o the airport. They provided us with cold bottled water when we arrived and said to ask for more when we ran out. The room was very clean and updated. We loved having a balcony overlooking the cobblestone streets. The street was a bit noisy at night but nothing that kept us up. The only negative was the wifi didn't work. That wasn't a deal breaker for us though and I would definitely stay again.

Lovely Central Hotel in Old San JuanPosted May 14, 2012
Pros: Clean, Modern and well maintained oferring a complimentary continental breakfast in the morning.
Cons: No least favourite things.
Location: Convenient short walking distance to the local shops and 5 minute walk to the cruise ship piers.
We were not sure of what experience we would have as this hotel is in the Old San Juan district but have to say that next time we are in San Juan this is where we will stay. The hotel is very clean with all the modern ammenities you would expect., We have had the opportunity to stay at this hotel on 2 separate occassions and each experience was great. The staff are very friendly and most helpful with answering any questions we had and guiding us through Old San Juan. The hotel is within walking distance to the pier where our cruise ship was docked as well as the local shops and for us the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The restaurant in the hotel was superb although there are many other restaurants within walking distance for your pleasure and local dining experience.
