It took 10 minutes for someone to come to the front desk when we arrived. Called twice with no answer. No coffee in room. Some bugs on TV remote. Insufficient soap in shower. Beds are fine.

The doors are aluminum and don’t fit properly in the frame so there is about an inch at the bottom of the door open to the outside, susceptible to insects, rats etc. We were woken out of a dead sleep 4 times from how loud other doors slams shut. The bed feels like just springs and we both had back pain in the morning. Do not recommend.

Hi Angela:Thanks for your visit.Our door came with the frame. At the bottom is a space and is true that something can enter. We have in the hallways, first level box with poison for rats, we exterminate the facility every two weeks to prevent roaches and other kind of insects.Thanks we will double check the door.

I always try to book when I’m going to attend a concert in the “Choli” because of the location. It’s cozy and clean which is super important to me. Very much recommended.

The blankets had dirt foot prints, the room smelled like urine, the toilet was dirty, the shower drain had hair covering it. This was was of the worst horrible experience I have ever had. We left and went back to the airport to spend the night

Hi AnitaWe verify your complaint. The blanket has the mark of your luggage on top.Our rooms are disinfected after each guess and the liquid of the fogger smell strange but room are completely clean. We felt sorry about your experience but we are a hotel outside the touristic area near the university of Puerto Rico. We explain were we are in our page. And also are explain the amenities that we have.Thanks

I didn't realize there wasn't an elevator. Keep that in mind if you have a lot of heavy luggage. Our room was the third floor and we climbed two flights of stairs. The staff is often not at the desk (they were there 1/3 times we went down. We only stayed for one night). There is a sign that says to call them but we do not have cell service in the USA. We had to get our taxi driver to call them when we went to pick up our luggage and it took them over 10 mins to arrive while we were holding our taxi. When we first arrived, it was late at night, and there was no one at the desk. We were completely stuck. Fortunately they did eventually come but there was no way to reach them if they hadn't been around. They couldn't find our name since their booking notes were handwritten and cursive. Luckily we found our own names upside down and had to point it out a few times. We were only there for one night, but that was a lot of stress for one night and one morning. Some notes about the room: - when you shower, the whole bathroom floor gets soaking wet. - the windows are frosted so you get natural light but no view. - the tap in the bathroom is a push-tap that slowly turns itself off. There is a sink you can use in the lounge area but the hot tap didn't work (nothing came out when turned).

Hi Robin and thanks for your visit.We have our windows frosted because we are a eco friendly hotel and that provide cooler temperatures inside the building, and PR average temperature is 90 degrees farenheit.We do not have hot water in common areas, every customer has a microwave in the room that can be use to boil water.Is our phone number at front desk for assistance. Personnel helps customers with luggage, tvs and more.Took 10 minutes to help you with the luggage because you check out at the same time of other customers and our staff was helping plenty of customers at the same time.Remember we are an small budget hotel and we want to keep rates as cheaper as we can. Sorry for the misunderstanding and we hope to see you in a near future

First time there not sure if safe area , it was on a Sunday morning we were there so not a lot of places to eat breakfast . The staff at hotel told us of a place to get breakfast .

Good staff. The room was clean. The AC wasn't working at first but they fixed it. Good value to just have a bed to sleep in and explore San Juan. I'll definitely book again.

I really enjoyed my stay at the dream hotel it was clean safe and on the street with a mini market a few bars all in walking distance everything else was 10 15 mins away so not bad at all I really enjoyed my stay and most def stay there again

I liked that staying in this area gave you a feel of what it would be like to live on the island. Only down fall is transportation on the island. Its hard to get to the tourists places with out a rental car.

Check-in took a long time as counter clerk did not seem to know how to check us into the room as we used Expedia and already paid for the room. There were no amenities in the room such as glasses, wash cloths, or hand towels.

Liked our stay here, as the staff were helpful and polite. The amenities left a bit to be desired, but the a/c worked well. The faucet was an awful timed, push-button thing that made any sink function a nightmare. The shower had a mostly empty soap/shampoo dispenser in which the detergent had been very watered down; so bring your own toiletries.

Cheap and convenient location, but not worth it
Upon checking in they asked us for credit card and id. I confirmed they knew we had already prepaid on hotels.com and they said they would not be charging us. However upon getting home I found out they DID charge our credit card, so hoping they will resolve this. We booked a couple rooms. One room did not have a working air conditioner. One room reeked of pot. Both rooms had trash on the floor we picked up. One room had used towels laying in a heep on the bathroom floor. There was sand in 2 of the beds. The rooms were definitely not cleaned. So gross. Cats were outside fighting loudly all night. It was a sleepless night. I would never stay there again no matter that it’s cheap and convenient to get to the airport.

Pluses: - Free condoms for all visitors (if thats your thing) - Conveniently located near airport Minuses: - Air conditioner in one room didn’t work - Rooms smelled like pot - Trash on the floor - Hair on the beds - Sand in the sheets - Ferrel cats fighting outside the room all night long - Twin bunk was very unstable - Walls were paper thin - Dirty towels on the floor in a couple rooms - Double charged for some rooms - Didn’t have room we reserved and then tried upcharging us for the replacement Basically, I was shocked the roaches didn’t yell at the cats to keep it down so they could get some sleep.

I chose Dreams Hotel as I was looking for an affordable hotel room for a night. If you plan to travel with multiple luggages, please be aware that there is no elevator. In the hotel room, I noticed that there were stains on the hotel sheets. The Wi-Fi connection was horrible in the bedroom area, so I had to stay close as possible to the hotel door for stable connection. On the other hand, they did have a security gate that prevents wandering strangers from accessing other hotel rooms. Therefore, safety wasn’t an issue. Besides the fact that the tv didn’t work, they had hot water option in the shower and the a/c worked great. Customer service was ok. However, I wouldn’t book there again.

The owner and front desk clerk are amazing and care about their guests. The beds and pillow s were very comfortable good water pressure in shower. There a short staircase to go up but it feels more like a home the a hotel

Don't let the location turn you away from this gem
The Dreams hotel is in an area of town that is run down but still felt completely safe. The hotel itself is undergoing stone renovations inside but our room was very nice, well appointed and the mattress was one of the most comfortable I have rested on in any hotel. We walked to local bakery right behind hotel and enjoyed a delicious breakfast treat with coffee in the morning.
