Best hotel in San juan

Whenever I go to Puerto Rico I stay at the Marriott this hotel is a a great place. The customer service is excellent all the staff are welcoming and very accommodating the pool area and the beach are the best trust me you will not be disappointed

Pros: Nothing
Location: There are several restaurants nearby that were inexpensive and the food was good.
This hotel is very expensive. I had to change rooms twice, the first room was a handicape room and house keeping left there cleaning suppies in the bathroom (the sponse looked discussing), the second room had bedding that was not completely dry. The third room was ok, but I woke up with back aches every morning. Also, I was only able to sit on the balcony the first day, they were painting the outside of the hotel so I had to close the curtains which made the room dark.

Updated hotel but old rooms

The service, amenities, and location are fantastic. There is not an all-inclusive option and the restaurants on- site are expensive. However, there are plenty of less expensive restaurants with better food within walking distance of the hotel. There are also a CVS and Walgreens, to purchase snacks and beverages (even alcohol), within a block of the hotel. The only drawback are the rooms, which are older and have a faint smell of mold. The common areas of the resort, however, look upgraded.

Pros: Location, facilities, cleanliness, service -- all wonderful.
Cons: While it is a very nice and beautiful hotel, it is not as aesthetically updated as Marriott's other resorts in other locations.
Location: Get drinks at the Vanderbilt hotel just a short walk away; go to La Placita for the local happy hours/food; walk to Kasalta cafe -- authentic & great!
Loved staying at this hotel this time around. It's so accessible to other spots in Condado and is only a bike ride/car trip away from Old San Juan, Santurce, Ocean Park, and Miramar. The first two hours of any bike trip is free, so this is a great option to get around for an afternoon. Very nice, well-maintained facility, and perfect access to the beach. Also *highly* recommend getting a massage with the hotel (they offer daily specials that are not posted online or in the room, only at the spa/wellness center front desk). It was sincerely the best massage I had ever had -- and the service all throughout the hotel was incredible!

On beach, nice swimming area, great music in lobby, near lots of restaurants and close to drug stores and souvenirs. Help with excursions and overall helpful. We checked in early for no additional charges.

Beautiful pool great views of beach and more

Pros: Everything
Cons: The free drink vouchers give u free drinks that are very very strong and not tasty at all
Location: Ur basically right on the strip with bars restrauts and much other stuff Some places are expensive GO to oroszcos they are amazing and cheap
Hotel was amazing as usual Staff was great friendly and helped every time we needed info The pool is great and the bar is great (recommend the banana daquri) The beach has all u need with tables and chairs and waiters to serve u drinks right to Ur chair as u tan If I can give more then 5 stars I would The gym is more filled then alot others with a variety of machines and also CVS is right down the block if u wanna save money on drinks A great stay

Pros: Nice hotel by the beach and of course casino in the hotel.
Location: You don't have to go too far for nearby restaurants. The Puerto Ricon restaurant across the street was the best. I don't recommend the French Crapery
This was our first time Puerto Rico and first time in this hotel. Price is right and the location is great right on the beach. From reception to the door man everybody was friendly and helpful wit smiling faces.

Beautiful clean hotel with friendly staff

2nd time staying here. The hotel is the perfect mix of elegant and casual. We didn't go to the lounge but observed many guests having a wonderful time dancing & singing with the live entertainment. Loved walking right out to the beautiful beach from the 2 fabulous outdoor pools. Friendly staff. Everything kept very clean & well stocked. Only criticism, wish there was another hot tub or a bigger one, and keep it open later. It's very small & sign says it closes at 6pm.

Pros: Everything. Great casino...great service /staff.
Cons: Higher toilet and perhaps a sliding bathroom door.
Location: The ocean view room was great and we enjoyed the yaccuzzi and pool. Great location as it has nearby restaurants and CVS/.
This was a wonderful experience. From the time we checked in till we checked out. I was unfortunate to get sick, pulled a muscle and could not walk. I sent my husband to the concierge to inquire about a nearby walk in clinic or if there was a doctor in the house and it was an amazing response. Within minutes, their medical staff was at my door, with a # of people to help me, wheelchair was brought up and they had a taxi to bring me to the er. One staff person went with us and stayed until I was admitted for er services. He left and told us to call him back and he would come and get us. He did.They paid for the taxi. Excellent service. I rate room comfort 4 instead of 5 as their bathroom is quite small and the toilet is super low....I would stay here again.

Excellent Stay with a few flaws

1) Room wasn't ready when we got there at 2. No big deal because check-in wasn't actually until 4. We and the other rooms of people we were with all went to the pool bar. Every other room was called by 3 telling them their room was ready. At 4:15 my friend and I went back to the front desk to ask if we were ok to check in. He apologized and said that our room had not been prepared as discussed over two hours ago. He did tell us that we could go to the bar and have a drink each on them. I think this alone is why they still get four stars. Around 5:15 we were given keys to our room. They didn't work. We went back down and a different guy apologized and gave us new keys. They worked. 2) The room had the pool view we requested and was large; however, it somehow still had trash on the bathroom floor and balcony. Even though it took so long to get into our room, it still hadn't really been cleaned. 3) After spending a ton of money (compared to what I have) to get this room and hotel, they still had a $115 "hotel fee" once we got there. However, I half expected it because I read through the website and other reviews, so this wasn't a huge deal. Currently it looks like they charged my credit card an extra $265 though so I'll have to wait and see if they fix it to the $115 or I'll need to call. This seems like an all negative review but I just wanted to point out the main issues. I would happily stay here again. Excellent: pool, beach, location, casino, staff, atmosphere, beds.
