Great experience - front desk seemed a little unorganized in getting details of our reservation and payment straight, but the rest of the staff were wonderful.

Pros: Our 6th resort trip to Mexico, & probably THE best food choices of any. One buffett that really changes daily with gourmet foods-not just themed food
Cons: Compared to traditional resorts, this one could be cleaner. Staff worked hard, but it wasnt as sparkling as others we have stayed at. Pool areas SLICK
Location: Located in the city, a few blocks from the boardwalk. Great option to avoid taxis & to "go back" where you saw something. Right on the ocean w/beach
Neat experience for those who have been to numerous "resorts" & want something a little different. Smaller resort, and although 5 pools-they are within 20 yards of one another & a little over crowded as they are all smaller. There was only one buffet, the other (2) restaurants were reservations only & one of those was IN the buffet. The buffet actually offered a different variety nightly-not just a theme night but delicious food alterations. Not a lot of out of country tourists, most were from Mexico. It made conversations difficult with staff and other guests, but I think you should know before you go that if you plan on ordering room service & don't speak Spanish, don't. The resort was lovely, although the room was more hotel like than resort like. Our room did not have a balcony either, which I missed. The food and location were great, and since we were the tourists, we cant fault the lack of English spoken. I do feel that is important for someone who is anticipating the traditional resort experience. One day we came back from breakfast & our TV was missing! We called the desk & asked housekeeping as well as maintenance and never really knew why or what happened. The lack of communication made it possible to explain what happened or for the staff to tell us why. They did bring us a replacement but ???? They did have nightly shows which were fun, although not in an airconditioned facility-the open air lobby.

Needs improvement

Pool was disgusting green all over the walls, sand inside the pool, trash and dirty water in the pool! Food was good but not enough staff at the restaurants.

Great Staff

We booked an ocean view room, and paid extra for it - had to squint to see the ocean. Someone tried to get into our room at 2 in the morning, I believe they were drunk and got the wrong room. However I did let management know about this, and they were not too concern. This was an all inclusive hotel, and most people there were inebriated. The breakfast was delicious, but dinner was ok. When laying on the beach in front of the hotel, there were too many people trying to sell you things. I would not recommend this hotel. When you get to this hotel, do not expect check-in to be indoors. Their lobby is open, with no AC. You would need to go upstairs to the business center if you have to wait to check in, and it is going to be more than a couple of hours. The staff however was great! Everyone there was very helpful, and extremely courteous.

Food was on point. Staff was always happy. Entertainment was fun. Shopping was great. Spa amazing.

Ok hotel, nice staff.

Pros: It was close tot he beach and within the down town area of Puerto Vallarta.
Cons: They should update their rooms and maybe hire more personnel at the restaurant.
Location: It was nice to be close to the Malecón and other attractions.
The room overall was disappointing, outdated and noisy. Most of the staff was nice, restaurant personnel on the other hand was a little rude, specially the hostess. I will have a tough time deciding if I really want to come back to that hotel.

Our stay was super. The staff was fantastic all around. The room was nice and was cleaned everyday. Room keys had to be rescanned a lot as they demagnetized for some reason very easily. Food and drinks were excellent.
