Wonderful Experience!!Posted May 30, 2016 on Hotels
Stayed for 10 days and could not have been happier. Lots of stairs to climb but its so pretty along the stairways and hallways! They greet you and take your bags up, deliver bottled water to your room, and previous to my arrival they were incredibly helpful and cooperative in arranging for me to upgrade to a room with AC after I realized how hot it was going to be. The staff is wonderful, they exchange money for you there, and have delivery service available to your room for water, soft drinks, wine etc. The rooms are so lovely, with amazing views of the bay, traditional decor, fully stocked kitchen, wonderful shower and bathroom. The AC was excellent, the cleaning immaculate every day, nice towels, comfortable bed. I can not say enough positive about the experience there. The location is excellent, very close to centro and the beach and pier. Taxis are going by constantly or its a short walk downtown. Beautiful property that I highly recommend if you are visiting the old town area of Puerto Vallarta!

Lovely but a workoutPosted Mar 14, 2016 on Hotels
Lovely villa just outside of "old town" Puerto Vallarta in Romantica Zona. Staff were very friendly and accomodating. The hotel itself is great perched on a hillside but not for the weak or invalid due to many stairs to get to the reception office on the 3rd floor never mind the rooms. We thankfully were only on the 4th floor. The only other concern is that it is right on the busy Carratera (highway) and the noise was pretty constant late into the night, which didn't allow us to leave the doors open for more air and coolness.

What a letdownPosted Feb 28, 2016
After asking 5 locals about the location of the hotel, including a taxi driver, I finally found a shopkeeper who pointed out the way. The street ended with a 4 flight staircase which connected to a dead end street, 2 more blocks and a turn to a cul de sac brought the hotel into view. The location once found was fine; the service was not. Two days of power interruptions and two day without water dampen my enthusiasm. Management was absent.

A place with authentic Mexican feel.Posted Feb 21, 2016 on Hotels
This was our 2nd time here, enjoyed it for the most part but we had a room with no AC don't think I'd do that again as the ceiling fan over the bed was noisy and only worked on 1 speed. We also had a unit close to the road so was very noisy. They didn't like that we booked through the site and I believe you end up with the lesser rms when they're booked up. Won't stay again unless can specify unit staying in. Could use some better pillows.

A good stayPosted Feb 19, 2016 on Hotels
This was our sixth trip to PV and first time at Casa Anita y Corona del Mar. We had a two bedroom suite in the Corona side (#1). This suite is the lowest so has the fewest steps. Be warned! There is no elevator. The room itself was fine. Lots of room for two couples. We had only one bathroom but this was never a problem. Full kitchen which was great and very large terrace with our own charcoal bbq. AC only in the bedrooms and could be noisy at times. Typical Mexican hotel mattress. Not great but ok. The hotel is located on highway 200 so there is some traffic noise but not at annoying levels. About a 10 minute walk downhill to the south end of the Malecon. The walk back is a pretty good hoof uphill but we didn't mind and you could always get a cab. Overall a positive experience and we would stay here again.

Great Place - Just to many stairsPosted Feb 16, 2016 on Hotels
This a great place to stay in Purto Vallarta with one major draw back the eighty steps to get to the main lobby. The hotel is up some steep hills then you have climb all those stairs. As folks get older or anyone out of condition the access to this hotel presents a bit of a challenge. If they could install an external elevator to the lobby level the problem would be solved. Unfortunately as much I loved this hotel, it's great service, fantastic view and reasonable rates I just couldn't say here again because of the stairs. If your in good shape and don't have an issue with stairs it's a great place to stay.

Older property but well run.Posted Feb 15, 2016 on Hotels
Really enjoyed staying at this property on the hill. Rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly and very attentive. Very good value. Only negative would be the traffic noise from the nearby road. But not so bad at night with windows closed.
