Private hotel but close to major attractions

Posted Aug 22, 2015
Pros: The staff, view (see photos from balcony below), proximity to romantic zone, privacy, not touristy
Cons: More servers who focused on one area (one restaurant at a time, the bar/pool area), might speed up service. Having the breakfast buffet every day
Location: This location was a quick bus ride to the romantic zone. The cab fare was also only 90 pesos if you do not want to use the bus.
We had a lovely 5 night stay at this resort. The staff were all friendly, helpful, and gay friendly. The food was better than we expected. The service could be slow at times, but the servers were covering a large area. The adult pool area was a bonus. The view was spectacular, and the bus stop was right across the street. The room was quaint. It was not perfect or new, but it was clean and the air conditioning worked well. The concierge, Eric, was particularly helpful to us. We also received great service from Alan, Alejandro, Pedro, and Moses at the restaurants. We used the laundry services, which were very affordable and fast. The breakfast buffet was amazing, but it was only available for one of the mornings that we could have breakfast there. The beach is all rocks, so make sure that you buy water shoes! We did not do the all-inclusive any of the days that we were there because we do not drink much or eat meat, and it seemed as if that was a good plan for us. The food and drinks are really inexpensive.

Ocean Front Hotel on the South Coast

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Spacious oceanfront studios with kitchenettes (large fridge!) and sofa/coffee table. Excellent & friendly service! Crashing waves 24/7!
Cons: Put screens on patio doors to prevent mosquito bites & add chairs to balcony. More ventilation in elevators. Reduce sewer smell.
Location: Great location! Beautiful views! 5 minutes from town. My favorite area to stay in PV!
I have been to Puerto Vallarta 12x in 30 years & was a travel agent for 13 years. Positives: Rooms are spacious & very clean. Service is excellent, from front desk to room/pool service! They will welcome you home when you arrive. Location is only 5 min south of town, but you get the beautiful south coast feel. Rooms are very spacious with kitchenettes (big fridge!) & sofa. The ocean waves crash loudly 24/7, even with door closed! Beware of sleeping until late morning...LOL! There is a small balcony, just big enough for 2 chairs. There is a full service store to buy EVERYTHING you need including bottled water for the fridge. There is an active pool for families, volleyball, etc, but also an adult only pool which is more quiet. Negatives: You have to move the 2 chairs in room back/forth between balcony & kitchen table. You have to buy your own coffee for coffee maker. Room service will not bring you silverware & housekeeping does not wash silverware. There is no screen door, so if you want to leave door open put on your mosquito repellent. I got bit many times. There should be a screen! Tropical fruit plate was inconsistent. Sometimes so moist & sweet. Other times dry & tasteless. What bothered me the most was an on/off sewer smell, primarily noticed from adult pool & restaurant (I only ate there once due to this). Overall, the price is excellent for hotel quality! Garza Blanca Hotel is BEST if you can afford. It is my favorite & will only stay there in future.

Excelente, me encanto, regresaría sin duda.

Pros: TODO EN VERDAD

Posted May 19, 2015
Pros: Tout
