Not So Luxurious

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: The Staff. The pools.
Cons: Labeling of restaurants and restrooms.
Location: DVNV is about 40 minutes from downtown PV, which is a great town with lots to do and see. We would rather be closer to town than this.
My husband and I have been spoiled by staying at other more upscale resorts, such as Excellence Resorts in MX, so DVNV was something of a letdown. We are used to having more than 4 different restaurants. In general, the food was good, although it was not usually hot, except in the Italian restaurant. (The plates were hot, but not the actual food.) We felt that drinks were watered down, except in the lobby bar. DVNV is 40 minutes from downtown PV. This is a nice resort, but nothing outstanding, except for the pools, which are great. It is not especially "Mexican", and could really be anywhere. We thought that the layout of the public areas was odd and very cramped, with a driveway running right past the lobby bar. The restrooms were insufficient and not labeled. The staff was outstanding; everyone with whom we came in contact was kind and helpful. Go for an upgrade to an ocean view room if possible.

Beautiful All Inclusive Hotel

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: Good food, clean hotel, close to the beach, nice staff!
Cons: The only thing that could be improved would be the wait time for our food to come at the restaurants.
Location: Great location, about 30 minutes from the airport and right next to the beach!
We enjoyed staying at Dreams! The staff was fabulous (especially Junior,) the hotel was kept clean, the food was great and the pools were nice! The hotel had a nice beach too! I would recommend this hotel!

Beautiful resort in the heart of Nuevo Vallarta!

Posted Nov 9, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Restaurants, Service, Rooms
Cons: Buffet, Pools could be cleaner, No swim-up bar
We stayed at this resort for our honeymoon after getting married at another resort in the area. We decided each resort had pros and cons, but Dreams was the clear winner! We loved that there were multiple pools so even though it was kid-friendly, there was enough space to distance yourself if you choose to. The restaurants were amazing, especially the rooftop sushi bar! No need for reservations, we always got in which was really nice coming from our previous resort where you had to book reservations days in advance to get in anywhere except the buffet. Room service was very fast and had a variety of options that were almost all delicious! The staff was so friendly that they got to know us in just 3 days and welcomed us like we were family. The atmosphere was relaxing, yet fun. The area of Nuevo Vallarta was also a plus as there are many places within walking distance that are safe to go to. As for things that need improvement: the buffet was a big let down, which a lot of times at the AmResorts is the case. The breakfast was basically inedible to the point where I stayed hungry until lunch at which point we ate at the restaurants near the pool. There is no swim-up bar which was disappointing coming from a resort with a really nice one, but the servers were on top of it the whole time, so in all honesty, not a big problem. The pools could be cleaner. Overall an amazing experience and we are already planning to go back for our 1st anniversary!

Best all inclusive in NV.

Posted Oct 25, 2016 on Hotels
Absolutely the most best all inclusive experience my wife and I have had ever in PV. The staff here are the memorable experience. Everyone is happy and we can tell they don't have the overworked, tired, look in their eye. We stayed just down the street at Occidental and that was not anywhere near as nice just on this same trip alone. Wifi was 10x better than any hotel we've been to Mexico. We. Will. Be. Back. Thankyou Villamanga staff!

Paradise in Nuevo Vallarta

Posted Oct 19, 2016 on Hotels
We spent 3 days of our honeymoon here. Resort was beautiful, pools great, rooms nice, service excellent. It was all inclusive... great drinks, food was average. It was worth staying on the preferred level and getting a beach side room for the great views of the ocean. Gym was very basic and hot.

Best 1st Impression possible :)

Posted Oct 16, 2016
Everything was greater than we expected. Upon arrival and throughout our staying, everything and everyone were excellent. They gave us the best 1st Impression we possibly could get from the Hotel, City & Country. It was our first trip to Mexico and they made us feel home. My 3 years old Son did not want to come back home... :)

Less than expected

Posted Sep 26, 2016
Pros: Julio the bar tender. The food was very good at the 3 restaurants we went to.
Cons: There are signs saying beverages are not allowed by the pool. The servers bring you drinks and sit them by the pool. Then security comes and scolds you
We arrived late in the afternoon after a very long day of traveling. It seemed like it took forever to check in only to then have to meet with the a sales person...who seemed desperate to have us attend the next sales pitch. When we finally arrived in our room the safe didn't work. Wasted a few more hours (3 attempts later) for them finally to just sit a new safe in the closet. The next morning, the coffee pot didn't work. There was no hot water. The water for the outside hot tun was also cold and brown. The staff did take care of everything and we pleasant until check out. The concierge said we could pay 15.00 an hour for a late check out. The front desk said no late check outs and gave us 15 minutes to get out of our room.
