Beautiful views of the ocean from upper floorsPosted Nov 15, 2015
Pros: Fun, efficient and friendly staff. Gorgeous pool.
Cons: Funny smell in room. Maybe a dehumidifier.
Location: Beautiful beach location. Great golf at Flamingos, marina Vallarta. Rhythms of the night tour with Vallarta Adventures, Bucerias, Sayulita, malecon.
Only negative was the musty smell in the room, especially the pillows- guess they need a dehumidifier in there. Overall, great value, great service from all of the staff who are cheerful and efficient. Loved the theme night dinners/shows, no reservations needed at any of the restraunts, really good selection of bar drinks/cocktails. The beach is beautiful, good swimming there and in the gorgeous pools. Lots of activities and the activity staff are particularly good. Beach volleyball, pool aerobics, boogie boarding, tequila tasting, Spanish lessons, tennis lessons, kayaking to name a few.

Great oceanfront resortPosted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: We love that it's all inclusive and the beach had good conditions.
Cons: All was very good
Location: Oceanfront resort with a short ride from airport. We pretty much stayed in resort with the exception of a tour to the Marieta Islands
A wonderful all inclusive oceanfront resort with amazing ocean views from the private balcony and views of lush greenery from the front entrance to room. The food was very good and the 24 hr room service was great and delivery was done in a timely manner. Overall great experience in a resort with a very friendly resort staff.

The hotel is beautiful. The ocean view room I had booked was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very accommodating. Not once was my fiancé and I hassled by a timeshare representative. Food was delicious especially the Portofino restaurant.

Family oriented resort with tasty food & comfy bedPosted Aug 17, 2015
We enjoyed our stay at Dreams because the room was very clean and comfortable. The food offered at the Mexican restaurant inside the resort was delicious. Overall, all the food offered at the different restaurants was very tasty. Cons: no bar inside the pool, no drinks allowed inside the pool, resort shares it's pools with the Villamagna condominiums, no noise after 10 & pool closes at 9. If you are traveling with your significant other or with friends look for an adults only resort. We felt a bit out of place at this resort.

Nice pools and specialty restaurants.Posted May 11, 2015
Pros: Good specialty restaurants, especially the Oceana. Big clean pools and lots of places to sun-bathe.
Cons: The World Cafe (buffet restaurant), food presentation, quality, and service all need improvement.
Comparing with the Dreams PV hotel that was sold to Hyatt recently, this hotel has much shorter beach front but with better and bigger pools. Restaurants are similar but the service and food at the World Cafe (buffet restaurant) is not as good and also pretty inconsistent. Rooms and other services are about the same. You need to bring lots of $1 bills if you plan to tip with US dollars. Clerks at the counter sometime not willing to break US $20 bills to changes. Free WiFi will only work about 5 to 10 min, if you can connect to it, before you need to reset, Overall quality is still very good, I like the Oceana restaurant, Other specialty restaurants are very nice, too.

Dreams is a fabulous place to stay.Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: Noted in about our experience.
Cons: The only thing we could suggest is to have some small venue for musical entertainment such as a 3-piece combo with evening music.
Location: We now just stay at the hotel. In the earlier years, we have done the extra ventures and activities.
This is our third time staying at Dreams Villamagna, and it was still great. The staff are very accommodating, helpful, gracious. We have been at a different all-inclusive in the past that was bigger, more people; we like the smaller environment. The food in all of the restaurants is delicious and superb presentation. We will continue to go to Dreams for our next PV trip.

Below expectations, particularly foodPosted May 9, 2015
Pros: The kids club was very useful. The pools were good. The room was spacious and reasonably clean.
Cons: Facilities, staff, and particularly food and drinks were well below expectations.
I booked this hotel for a 4 nights stay and it was a mistake. The hotel building showed signs of wear everywhere. One of the two elevators was frequently broken which caused long lines. The room was spacious as expected and reasonably clean, can't complain. The mattress was cheapest of the cheap. The food selection was barely acceptable. The sushi bar on the top floor served the worst sashimi I've ever seen. I made a mistake of ordering a burger once. They managed to make it worse than my worst expectations. Instead of a meat patty it had some sort of pressed brown thing, kind of cheap sausage. I'm not even sure it had any meat in it. The drinks were outright poor. Mojitos were made with artificial sweetener and had nearly zero alcohol content. The concoction they called "juice" was anything but juice. Hotel staff aggressively tried to get us to attend "breakfast" where they wanted to sell us some kind of a real estate deal.
