Great views from rooms but needs updating

Cons: everything else
Location: Sayulitas worth visiting
Stayed at the hotel for a week. The food and drinks were disappointing (food is blunt drinks are super weak)... To say the least. Staff is nice. Especially the hostesses at restaurants and waiters. The view from room was amazing. We had an Ocean view. Rooms need serious updating. You can see cracks in walls and ceilings, patches of caulk...scratches on furniture, worn out shower and bathroom fixtures. Entertainment is boring. Two from five restaurants in family friendly resort is for adults ONLY. Thats a disappointment! Pools are nice. No music though.

Excellent resort

Pros: It does not feel over crowded. We like it that we do not have to make reservations for the restaurants. Staff are very accommodating and pleasant.
Cons: Fans in the gym or at least have the air conditioning come on earlier in the mornings before it opens at 7:00am. We go at 7 am; is very warm/hot.
Location: Since we have been to PV many times, we do not participate in the excursions. We prefer to stay at the resort and relax.
This was our 4th time staying at Dreams Villamagna. We like knowing the layout and what to expect. We have never been disappointed. The rooms are nice, the grounds are well managed and beautiful, the food in all of the restaurants is delicious, and the staff is gracious, helpful; they are excellent. We will be going again.

The staff was amazing from the minute we arrived handing us a cold mimosa. Our room had everything we could need including the 180 degree ocean view. I can't think of anything negative to say, just a fun relaxing week with so many attentive friendly staff.

Pros: Pools were warm and nice. Most of the beverage staff were great.
Cons: No bottled water anywhere on resort except the bell mans counter. Very little variety at the one and only buffet. Usually they ran out of the main dis

We have been to many all inclusive resorts in a few areas of mexico. We travelled with daughter and 3 grandsons, ages 8, 10, and 12.

Fantastic Resort

We have stayed at several Dreams resorts and this resort did not disappoint. The staff was helpful and friendly, the resort was clean, and the beach was magnificent. Our room had an ocean view on the balcony side and a view of the Sierra Madre mountain range outside the door. There are several small towns within 15 minutes for shopping and authentic dining. If you are looking for a resort close to PTV - this isn 't the one - PTV is a 25 minute cab ride away. My only complaint (if you could call it that), would be the food. It definitely wasn't terrible - but I didn't think it was outstanding either.

Amazing for families with food allergies

We have two with Celiac disease and the staff were amazing. The chef would come out to speak with us about every food option. They would see my son coming to breakfast and immediately bake fresh GlutenFree muffins that he loved. They would make special pastas. Anything. All of that care on top of amazing quality food and amenities. We've been staying at Riu resorts for 10 years and none of them compared to this experience.

Great resort but TERRIBLE experience with EXPEDIA!

Pros: Service, cleanliness, food and the people. But Expedia's "price guarantee" is a scam!
Cons: Expedia should remove the link to their "price guarantee".
First class resort with first class service. Only complaint is that Expedia's "price guarantee" is a scam! I submitted my claim within 24 hours and received a response 72 hours later indicating that I didn't meet 4 criteria. I provided evidence to support the 4 criteria and after another 72 hours, Expedia replied that 2 different criteria weren't met. I provided evident to support the 2 new criteria and after ANOTHER 72 hours, Expedia replied with the original 4 criteria. They finally directed me to Customer Support so that I could speak to somebody. Within the first 10 minutes of my call to Expedia, I was hopeful as the pleasant customer service representative sounded very optimistic that my claim would be satisfied. After 45 minutes on the phone, her tone changed and told me that her supervisor said my "case was closed" and she hung up on me. TERRIBLE SERVICE from Expedia with NOTHING to support their responses to my "price guarantee" claim. I can only assume the guarantee is a scam!

The hotel is ok, the room was clean and comfortable, nice pools and good beach. Did not mater to me but half of Chanels on tv didn't work, no English chanels...food was average, expected more.

Workers are amazing and I especially loved the large room and jacuzzi on the balcony!

Dream about going back!

Pros: Like the staff friendly and they we're accommodating . Liked that it was a smaller hotel.
Cons: Pool nearest beach to cold and need a washroom near the beach
Location: Went into puerto Vallarta by cab and to Buccaries. There were lots of excursions around to do.
We arrived on a red eye so would not do that again as we got to the hotel at 7 am but could not get into a room till after 230. Staff was friendly and great at the hotel. Liked the location not to expensive to take a cab to town . Food was average and some dishes better then others. They do have the best shrimp here. Our room is called the tropical view we liked to look towards the mountains there was a road below but didn't notice it sitting down and we could move the chairs to see part of the ocean and hear the birds. Room comfortable the only thing was our shower leaked and so did the in door tub water on the tile floor so we just asked for more towels. Over it was a great place to stay lots of activities to do. Room service is part of the package . There is no pool bar like other resorts
