Hotel close to the beachPosted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Fresh fried fish and barbecue ribs
I've been to Cancun, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Cabo San Lucas. They all rated all inclusive 4 stars hotel Each one provides free kayak, free paddle board for guests to use. Your doesn't have that. If it's all inclusive, it's not supposed to charge guests extra $35 for lobster tail and special food in Italian restaurant. It's better not to have that in the menu. For $200 US per night per couple, if this hotel wants to keep guests come back. I think they should consider about our concern

Glad to be back on American Soil!!Posted Nov 12, 2015
Pros: Pleasant up until Friday, October 23 during Hurricanne Patricia
Cons: Better planning on the hotel personnel especially evacuating tourist.
We were at Fiesta for our honeymoon Mon. Oct 19-Fri, Oct 23. Everything was nice up until Thurs, Oct 22. Around 10:30ish p.m. a flyer was slipped under our door suggesting we leave Puerto Vallarta because a category 5 hurricanne was heading our direction. (Only reason we saw this flyer is because we were coming back to the room after dinner, but nothing was said earlier of any potential danger. No televisions throughout the bar area had any news, no employees ever said anything to us. Up in the room no news covering any info on the hurricane, got on my IPAD to watch KTLA News for any info. We went downstairs to inquire what we should do, they said in the morning we should come down around 9a.m. and we would be taken to shelter. The next day Fri, Oct 23 at 8ish a.m. an employee came banging on our door saying we needed to evacuated immediately, we were in danger. When we got to the lobby area & asked the front desk employee where we were meeting to be taken to safety shelter she said it was our responsibility to get out of Puerto Vallarta & not their problem. When I asked exactly where we were supposed to go for safety she said, I don't know why don't you just go & ask one of the taxi drivers outside where you can go. We had to pay a taxi driver $500 to get us to safety (a seven hour drive) where we waited another six hour for a flight out of Guadalajara, MX. Apparently if you're a tourist, in an emgernecy you don't matter find your own to safety. Never again!

Outstanding staff and locationPosted Nov 12, 2015
Pros: Staff, friendliness, location
Location: easy to get a taxi at minimal cost to get around the town for all activities and shopping.
The staff was very friendly and the location of the hotel was great for access around the community. If you have the opportunity to upgrade to the top floor, I recommend that you do so. The spectacular view from the room and balcony of the Pacific ocean was extraordinary. The extra amenities of the top floor was also well worth it. All of the staff was really outstanding everyday. Only glitch we had was the misfortune to be there when Hurricane Patricia came ashore. When Delta airlines could not get us out on a flight, it was a member of the hotel business office who came up with the suggestion/solution to get a flight out of Guadalajara via overnight bus trip. We lost the last 2 days of our stay due to hotel recommendation to leave. Not sure if there will be adjustment to total bill for our stay.
