Great hotel, friendly staff, and close to the beac

I enjoyed the variety at the buffets. I enjoyed the hotel staff, the environment was peaceful. I enjoyed the entertainment at the hotel. Friendly Vallarta is a great place to bring your family and a great place for couples.

We had a good time, would go back to Vallarta again! The property was very nice, there was plenty of staff and they were very helpful, yet the food was not very interesting and, with a few exceptions, was not well spiced. If we went back again, we would not do the all-inclusive.

Not as good as we thought

The overall hotel was ok. Hotel room was clean and had a great view of the ocean. However, the bathroom and shower needed updateing...old showerhead (water ended up on the floor) curtain was old. The food was terrible. Same tasteless buffet everyday. It seemed that if a dish was not finished on one day, it was served again the next... The Gourmet Restaurant certainly was not even close to being gourmet! No activity or entertainment for guests. Just loud rap music at the pool and beach area. Beach lounge chair were very old and uncomfortable. Beach area was not clean.

American Family Travelers

Pros: Authentic cultural experience?
Cons: Much to be improved for international travelers. Communicate more details on what's included and excluded so travelers know what to expect.
My family and I arrived and were welcomed appropriately. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Things went downhill from there. Resort was promoted as family friendly and may be for other Mexican families. As an American family (with 6 and 10 year old daughters) traveling abroad for the first time, this 3 star all-inclusive resort was poor at communicating necessary details and did not meet reasonable expectations. A few examples include: 1. Double beds drooping so severely on the edges that sleeping was uncomfortable (at best). 2. Resort provided 2 bottled waters at check-in then required us to refill bottles in restaurants for purified water each day. 3. Resort was unprepared with capacity to serve existing customers breakfast due to a newly arriving group. 4. "Adventures"- our 3 hour horse adventure dropped us at another attraction area with a reserved table, and expected us to pay to eat. Transportation to and from was our responsibility (about $25 taxi round trip). We thought the cost of our adventure included the entire adventure! 5. Worst of all- very few other English speaking families to share travel experiences or just be able to communicate with. Staff was understanding when we communicated our displeasure but incapable of, or not interested in, rectifying it. My family and I arranged for transfer to another resort after 3 days of our planned 7 day stay.

Pros: food and drinks always available with over `18 pool
Cons: All was good
Location: Bus service can take you anywhere for 7.5 pesos.
Just wanted to relax for the first few days before my week at my condo

Hotel is a bit dated, however the services and staff overcome any short comings of an older resort. Most helpful and polite staff I have ever been around. Expect good food and plenty of it. Several bars on site and beach side service all proving excellent drinks

Common areas are nice, staff very friendly. Adult beverages very weak / watered down. Room nothing special, AC had to struggle to keep room cool, bed was like a rock. Food ok. Overall value?
