finally i picked a resort that was amazingPosted Jul 31, 2015
Pros: The rooms had so much space

Wow! I have to say this is one of the best resorts I've ever stayed at.

Beautiful resort with amazing all-inclusive packagPosted Jul 24, 2015
Cons: The shower would take a long time to get hot but once it was hot it was constantly scalding even with the cold turned all the way up.
Location: I highly recommend going on the Rhythms of the Night tour. Incredible dance and acrobatic show followed by a torch lit dinner overlooking the ocean.
My husband and I stayed at Garza Blanca in a Junior Panoramic Suite for 4 nights in July. It was the "rainy season" but all that really meant was it was humid and we got spectacular thunderstorms at night. We had the all inclusive package which covered just about everything other than kobe beef and lobster. The drinks weren't watered down, the food was gourmet, our room became our home, and the staff became our friends. We have named this place our official vacation home base and will be back as soon as we can. PS. Check out Hotel Mousai. It's on the same property, run by Garza Blanca, adult only, and has smart rooms. Really amazing.

Great stay at Garza Blanca!!Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: Staff, facilities, Hotel Moussai access (17th floor rooftop bar, infinity pool), recreational programs, location
Cons: A swim up bar would be cool, Aquazul is soooo close, but not quite on the pool.
Location: Mismaloya, Boca de Tomatlan, Yelapa. If you are exploring south of PV, this is a great place to get into the jungle and off the beaten path.
We just took a quick low season trip to Puerto Vallarta and our 3 days / 4 nights at Garza Blanca couldn't have been better. The hotel is in a great location south of the hustle and bustle of PV, but with easy taxi (150 pesos) or even bus (8 pesos) access. Combined with the facilities of Hotel Moussai, there were ample things to do and ample places to eat if you didn't want to leave the grounds. The staff were excellent, the rooms were amazing (we were in a 1 bdr suite). I can't recommend this place highly enough for its facilities, location and staff! To address a couple of the more negative comments: yes, you pay per day per device for wifi ($10), it isn't included. But I think the idea may be to put your devices down on vacation, no? The beach isn't white fine sand, I am not sure there are any of those between Mismaloya and PV and their breakwater was damaged in the storms earlier this spring and hasn't been repaired yet, that didn't keep us off the beach and out of their little cove. I am not sure I'd have enjoyed this location as much if it was my first time in Puerto Vallarta, but frequent visitors will appreciate it's charm and location.

Attention to DetailsPosted Jul 21, 2015
Cons: a 2nd trash can in jr suites, small ceiling fans in the roof of the trolly, make more announcements of roof top bar entertainment
Location: easy to take bus and or taxi into town.
I have lived and traveled all the world and this is one of the best vacation, holiday experience I have ever had!! The attention to details is amazing! The views from every area of the resort is breathtaking. The food is amazing as well. I enjoyed myself with food and drink and even managed to drop a couple pounds because the food is healthy as well. You will feel transported when you arrive. You will not be sorry to book this resort!! I was so sad to leave.

Food was average and expensive for what you get!Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Location, Kayak to Los Arcos
Location: Very close to Puerto Vallarta and yet felt miles away!
Overall the resort is beautiful and the location is spectacular! The food on the other hand was just ok. I had visited this resort before and the food at that time was amazing. It has definitely changed since then. It is edible but not at a 4+ star level. We had the all inclusive option so it didn't bother us as much it would have if we paid for it. Food was not cheap at the restaurants. Lunch and dinner averaged $100 with drinks for two. Our best meal by far was at Hiroshi at the new Mousai Hotel. It was included in our all inclusive after 6pm. Food and service were the best by far out of all the restaurants. Our best experience was the Kayak/ Snorkel trip to Los Arcos with Pedro! He was amazing! The fish at Los Arcos were everywhere and lot's of boats were feeding them bread crumbs to draw them in close. At the pool area Israel was a rock star! Always had a smile on his face and was great with the kids! He is a real find for the resort

Quiet, all-inclusive resortPosted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The property is gorgeous and the staff are exceptional with their friendliness and impeccable service!!
Cons: Elevator smell; door threshold to keep bugs out of room; main lobby employees to treat all guests the same rather than the obvious owners vs. visitors
Location: The resort is a 30-minute taxi ride South from the airport in Puerto Vallarta near Los Arcos and the zipline canopies.
We loved this property and had a very quiet, relaxing, romantic 25th anniversary getaway. The infiniti pools were lovely. We also enjoyed the beach and kayaking. This was the off season so it was uncrowded. It was extremely muggy because it's the rainy season, but one torrential downpour cooled us off nicely. The air conditioner in our room worked great and we had a giant hammock on our balcony with a great ceiling fan there. We would sit/lie out there and watch sunsets over the ocean. A negative was that the smell from the elevator engine would funnel into our room and smelled horrible, but I guess we got used to it. As an all-inclusive resort, we could dine at any of the 3 restaurants or pool bars, order food or drinks poolside or on the beach, as well as room service any time and it was all included. Hiroshi (Japanese) and Bocados Steak serve absolutely delicious food and have terrific service. We ate breakfast in the main restaurant down below, Blanca Blue, and also really enjoyed it there. The room service choices and quality were rather disappointing. Also, no one ever returned to pick up our used dishes and bugs would gather on them. Housekeeping staff would place them out on a shelf near our elevator and they often were still there the next day with bugs on them. Our fridge was to always be stocked with drinks and it took 5 requests and more than 24 hours to get any. A trolley transports you up and down the hill to the two separate parts of the property
