Would not stay again.

Posted May 24, 2017
Pros: Beach suite was nice but several things did not work which no one came to fix.
Cons: New hands on General Manager
Location: Too far out of town with not many activities.
We rented a two bedroom suite on the beach they put us on the hill which took a trolley ride. It usually took 30 minutes to reach the hotel. When I questioned the GM, he said there were no 2 bedroom suites on the beach, which was untrue. After telling them that I would move to another hotel they gave me a two bedroom suite on the beach. I guess they built one over night.

Great hotel, excellent staff

Posted May 8, 2017
Pros: Loved the staff, the food, and the amenities. Check out the spa if you can, you won't be disappointed.
Cons: Not sure if anything can be done, but upon our arrival the room smelled musty. Probably due to the humidity, which cannot be helped.
Location: Kayak to the arches, snorkeling, hikes, yoga. Check out the Malecon which is a quick 10 minute drive from the hotel.
We stayed at Garza Blanca for a long weekend. From the moment we arrived, we felt our stress just melt off. The staff was wonderful, everyone greeted you and made you feel at home. We went to dinner an hour after our arrival at Blanca Blue and we had a wonderful meal. The food was fresh, delicious, and everything was cooked to perfection. On top of that, we had a saxophone player playing wonderful melodies while we ate our dinner, which made for a relaxing and unique experience. The next day we went to the pool and the pool staff went above and beyond in making sure we always had drinks, they recommended food, which was also great, and they just made sure we were comfortable, asking if we needed umbrellas to shade us from the sun or when we wanted more sun, they would remove umbrellas so we were getting exactly what we wanted. Our room was a one bedroom apartment, and it was just perfect. We had two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer and dryer, a whirlpool tub, and the closet was huge. Every night while we were at dinner, the staff would come in and replace our used towels, set water on our night stands, and place a snack on our bed. Excellent touch. We tried out BocaDos and Hiroshi as well. Service was always great. Every time you arrive to a restaurant, they check with you to see if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions so they can cater to your specific needs. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Beautiful resort and great staff!

Posted Apr 30, 2017
The best food I've had at a resort! Beautiful views, great two bedroom suite, excellent staff...would definitely go back again. My only very minor issue was our resort bands kept unraveling and we had to keep cutting the strands off so they wouldn't go on our plates (in our food) while eating, but that's hardly worth mentioning since everything else was perfect.

Perfect!

Posted Apr 29, 2017
Pros: Everything was perfect!
Cons: Don't rent a car! It sounds cheap ($1-4/day). In reality, after you pay for liability/collision it isn't worth the stress.Taxi/hotel transport is fine
Location: We stayed mostly at the resort for this trip. We went into town to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church for Palm Sunday and Holy Thursday Mass.
This hotel was fantastic for our family vacation! Everything from the food, drinks, service, and room was top notch. The 2 beautiful pools were great for swimming. The beach was a bit rocky but nice and calm for any activities that you choose (snorkeling, paddle boarding or kayaking). There is plenty or as little to do as you like. A visit to the spa is a must! My husband and I both received massages and the experience was amazing. Be sure to take advantage of the full hour before in the wet pools or after too! It will not disappoint:) We are hoping to return next year!

Great property, but issues

Posted Apr 27, 2017
Let me start off by saying how gorgeous Garza Blanca truly is! Everything is just as aesthetically pleasing him in real life as it is in the pictures. And we really enjoyed our stay but we did have a few hiccups. The first hiccup was immediately after checking into our room, and heading to the pool, I was flagged down by Hotel staff. They apparently had put us in the wrong room and needed us to move right away to accommodate another guest. These things happen and they threw in a free dinner at the Japanese restaurant on property to make things right. Annoying, but not a huge deal. The second hiccup: as an Expedia gold plus member, we were supposed to be given a complimentary bottle of wine and appetizer upon arrival. The bottle and appetizer wasn't in the original room they put us in, so when they moved us I made a note to our concierge that it probably would need to be deliver to our new room. Our concierge and assured us that it would be there. We stayed for four days, and I reminded our concierge every day that we still have not received it. As of this writing (two weeks later), nothing has been done to rectify the fact that we never got the wine and appetizer. Once again, not a huge deal but very annoying. The final hiccup: we checked out and settled up with the hotel using a different card then the one we placed for incidentals. The hold is still on my credit card two weeks later and no one answers when I call. Frustrating!

Amazing Trip to Garza Blanca

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: Great beach for our 9,9,and 10 year old kids. Very calm protected beach, we loved the room and how clean and well trained the employees are.
Cons: The only thing that could be improved is their room service. One time I called and placed an order and the person did not process the order.
Location: Make sure to go have dinner at Le Cliff restaurant.
Just returned with our 3 kids at Garza Blanca. We were told about this resort from a friend who has stayed several times and raved about this place. Flew non stop flight with Alaska Air and stayed 5 days. We usually go to Cabo to relax but decided to try Puerto Vallarta Garza Blanca. The grounds and maintenance of the property was amazing, we like clean and only stay at 5 star resorts. The check in was easy and read many reviews about being hounded with timeshare sales and never was pressured or felt bothered. The security at the resort was great and the bell service was great. The lobby was open to the beautiful ocean view, the pools were amazing and kept very clean. We were shuttled to our room in Building 4 room 5051A which was an amazing Family Suite with full kitchen, dining, master and separate room for kids, 3 full bathrooms and had vanishing sliding glass walls to open up to enjoy the view of the jungle and ocean. This was even better than the suites at Holi'e resort in Maui. We had a large wrap around balcony with dining table and a beautiful spa. Maid service was excellent during our stay. We chose no to do the all inclusive package because we didn't feel we would drink and eat that much. Make sure to go have dinner at Le Cliff just 10 minutes away and also we did book a Panga Boat for the kids to go fishing out of the Miss Maloya Beach with Sami on "The Night of Iguana 1" and caught so many fish were we done in 3 hours and came back. Love this place.

Family spring break trip.

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: See experience...everything!
Cons: Perhaps an offering of a show or entertainment at night. Maybe a tennis lesson or clinic for kids, there is a beautiful tennis court.
Location: Downtown Puerto Vallarta is about 30 minutes away. We always enjoy the Riverwalk and a meal at the Blue Shrimp. The hotel has kayaks, paddle boards.
We have gone to Puerto Vallarta every year for the past 10 years and sometimes twice a year. (kids 16 yrs, 12 yrs, 7yrs old) We have stayed at a variety of 5 star resorts all positive experiences. This experience by far has set the bar for excellence on all fronts. The service and staff are friendly, anticipatory, caring and quick. The grounds are absolutely stunning with views at every turn. The restaurants have a wonderful set of offerings all fresh and delicious. Our 2 bedroom panoramic suite was spacious, bright, well appointed and very clean. We opted for the gourmet all inclusive and would so it again in a heart beat. The only negative is that the beach is not walk-able. The beach is pretty and clean, but enclosed. Other than that the facilities, physical location, staff and food would be hard to repeat without going back. There is also live music (violin, sax, trumpet & flute) provided in their restaurants and pools, very classy and beautiful. Thanks for the great experience we are looking forward to a return trip!

Wonderful and relax vacation!

Posted Apr 26, 2017
Pros: The view, the beach, restaurants, and the sevices of the staff
Cons: The check in and concierge staff. We hear a lot of footsteps on the Room's celing .Very annoy when they wake you up at 7:00 a.m and late nite at 11:00
Location: We stayed at the hotel and did not go to the town. I need to relax and this hotel had done perfect job. 45 minutes from the airport.
Our first time in Puerto Vallarta, and Garza Blanca had done a perfect job that we want to go back next year for our Spring break. The only drawback is check in experience. The check in staff should know that most of the guests arrived are very tired and hungry, especially with the small kids so they better offer the guests go to the pool restuarant to grab something to eat while they are waiting for the room. We arrived at 5:00 p.m, our room was not ready and we had to wait 45 minutes, and end up eating at the pool restaurant while waiting for our room. The room was clean with spectacular view of the ocean. The building is so close to the ocean that you can hear the waves even you close the door. The food was ok for dinner at Blanca Blue, and took so long for our dinner first day (1 and 1/2 hour) so i was so disappointed because I think this is 5 star resort so i expect more from it. The next day dinner was at Boca Dos steak house and it was phenomenal. The food was excellent and the staff treated you like a king. The waiter Esteban also brought us a special dish from the chef: tuna sashimi, and it was so good and I think it is better than the Japanese restaurant in Mousai hotel. The staff at the pool had done excellent job to treat you like a king or queen with every little details. The beach is small and lot of rocks but we are fine. The view at sunset is spectacular. Except the dislike we had on first day, the rest of our vacation was so wonderful
