Great hotel

Great hotel, views, and pools. Annoying "time share" pitch. I would opt out in the future.

Make sure you bring your paperwork with you regarding what type of room you paid for as they will switch you to a tower where you need to take a trolley to, not on the beach front. If you were used To all inclusive where you never saw a bill,it is a disturbance putting the tip down on every thing you touched , including water. The rooms were gorgeous. I did not like the treck to the gym located in another hotel up the mountain. The dinners were fabulous, but the breakfast could've been better. The hotel staff is a little snooty. All in all I have been to five all inclusive's in Puerto Vallarta, and this was not my favorite but at the same time lovely!

I will stay there again.

Pros: amazing food and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: bath tub was beautiful, but you have use caution when stepping in since it is higher than our "standard" tub.
Location: you can take a water taxi to Yelapa, about 15 min to zipline.
we, a group of 10, purchsed air/hotel package through Expedia, selected Garza Blanca through a recommendation from a friend. Hotel is located right on the beach away from the downtown crowd. Beautiful reception area, with path to the pool. Entire hotel and rooms are elegantly decorated and updated. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. We had originally requsted for a king size bed, but was assigned with 2 queens instead. walk in close with shelves was a big plus, balcony facing the ocean front. We've tried 3 restaurants in the hote, great food and value. Our concierge Andres helped us to obtain reservation for restaurant as well as activities, which we weren't able to obtain on our own.

Luxury Stay

Absolutely a breathtaking resort with a value all inclusive that is worth the rate and quality. It's nestled in a tropical selcuded rain forest that surrounds the whole property. Would definitely be returning soon.

Beautiful hotel, the staff were very accommodating

The walk up to our building was lovely but did lead to sore calf muscles. We took the bird watching tour which turned into just a lively walk while getting to know some of the other guests. All of the restaurants were excellent! Unfortunately our stay was a short one but we hope to go back again soon.

very good 5 star resort

Posted Jan 26, 2017
Pros: amazing ocean views.
Cons: pretty much nothing to improve on - except maybe the hamburgers at the poolside are consistently under cooked and the meat therefore tastes very raw.
Location: tennis AND squash court !!.
Can't even elaborate - everything pretty much exceptional.

Awesome beautiful amazing hotel!

Posted Jan 26, 2017
This was one of the best hotels I have ever been to. I have probably been to 10 or 15 hotels in Mexico. This was by far one of the best! Our concierge disappeared after our arrival. But we still had an amazing time.

Beautiful resort with intense sales attached.

Posted Jan 24, 2017
Pros: The resort is absolutely stunning. The rooms are impeccably clean. The service-wait staff worked hard at doing everything they could for you.
Cons: Stop the sales pitches. A simple "no" should suffice and accepted with grace.
Location: We took an excursion for the entire family on dune buggies- three hours. I found this on the internet and it was fantastic.
From the start our shuttle service to the resort (which was in communication with the hotel) was aimed at selling you everything. First the shuttle service tried to sell us hotel spa services which we said no. Then it was the the "free' hotel tour which we initially said no. Then it was the "for another 10 dollars we will take you straight to the resort and not have to make other stops". We kept saying no but they would not take us to our shuttle line. After handing them over 10 dollars and making arrangements for the "free" tour we did get to the resort. The room I ordered was not available but in order to stay in the kid section I had to take it. I was offered an upgraded room but would have to move buildings into the adult section. Since this was a three family vacation I wanted to stay near the kids and not have to take a trolley back and forth to my building. When the "free" tour was due I received a phone call telling me I must have my charge card on me. I stated no and the rep just increased my stress. After telling the rep that she was ruining my vacation she agreed to cancel, but then informed other people in the concierge desk that I canceled my "free" tour. They then started on me for missing my tour. It was relentless. I was trying to have a non-stressed vacation. Even at breakfast there were sales pitches on either side of me- not for a time share but for a "fractional residence." Even at the beach there were many people trying to sell you items.
