Very friendly staff

Posted Mar 21, 2017
Pros: Very nice staff
Cons: a little updating would make it perfect, but the style of the hotel is an antique theme so it was fine.
Location: Only 1 block or so from the Malecon. There are city parks every few blocks that always have activities. The beach and many restaurants are close.
We were very happy with the staff at the Hotel Casa Fantasia. They really made us feel comfortable and were always attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very good. When we arrived were given a room with a regular bed and a futon. We were moved to a more accommodating room with 2 regular beds right away when they noticed we had a a child with us.

Great Hotel - just a short walk to beach

Posted Feb 13, 2017
Pros: Very nicely decorated and has great staff. The restaurant to exceptional with very reasonable prices. Breakfast is included with your rooms.
Cons: Never rent out that back dingy Room B
Location: Extremely close to all the amenities in the old town district and a very short walk to the beach and town square.
I have to say I always read the reviews with a grain of salt. This hotel was quite lovely and the food and staff in the restaurant was top notch. HOWEVER if you are the poor visitors that receive ROOM B then move on. All the hotel is great except this particular room which is at the back of the restaurant - no privacy at all. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to the room that only have two sets of patio doors that both open up right into the restaurant. Very dark inside with no windows at all. This was a space that as an after thought they made into a room when they got rid of the pool. So very disappointing and cockroaches on more than one occasion and only gets hot water very early in the morning or between the hours of 3 - 5pm. Remember staff are always around from very early to 10:30pm so no privacy. Your patio area is part of the restaurant.

Pros: It was very relaxing
Cons: More light in our room
Location: The beach, lots of interesting stores and a few art galleries
We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel is very Mexican and a very relaxing atmosphere. The beach nearby was fun.

The reserved room with two beds was unavailable when we checked in. Had to settle for king size bed for three days.

Great hotel in Romantic Zone

Posted Dec 28, 2016
Pros: The staff at Hotel Casa Fantasia is very friendly and helpful, and I mean everyone. It is within walking distance to everything you would need.
Location: The location is great. Just a short walk to the boardwalk and beach. Very convenient to great restaurants and bars.
My experience at the hotel was a very positive one in terms of value, comfort and convenience. My friends and I stayed at the Hotel Casa Fantasia several nights, I was generally pleased with the stay. I would have no problem in recommending the hotel to anyone.

Charming hacienda

Posted Dec 11, 2016
Only a half block from the beach, this is a quiet, secluded b & b with only about 7, charmingly decorated rooms, around a central garden area with a restaurant. The food is very good, and the menu for the complimentary breakfast is quite extensive. It is in the part of town I love, close to the Malecon, art galleries, and wonderful restaurants.
