High above the ocean.

Posted May 2, 2016
Terrific breakfast every morning prepared any way you want it. The desk staff went out of their way every day to help. My wife drinks 1/2 and 1/2 in her coffee. Eduardo walked to the store just to fulfill her request. Even though the hotel itself is not a 5 star, the staff were. The rooftop pool is very nice. The hotel sits high on the hill. I lost 4 pounds just going up and down the hill. I could have hired an inexpensive taxi, but I wanted the exercise. Every night there was a celebration in the city down by the ocean. It died down around 1130 PM. Other than that, it was quiet and peaceful. I'll be back for sure.

Warning for Foreign Travelers booking Junior Suite

Posted Apr 7, 2016
Pros: Breakfast, pool, and common areas
Cons: Manager needs to improve her customer service. More time spent cleaning rooms, and fly nets installed in junior suite
Choose hotel based on photos of the junior suite and outdoor tub (pic 16 on Expedia) When we arrived they put us in a standard room (pic 13 on Expedia). After some work we finally got put into the suite. We were excited about the outdoor tub. Unfortunately no one showed us how to use it, and the drain was broken. We spent 4 hours slowly trying to fill it, finally spoke to management and he informed us the valve which is buried underneath the tub was partially open. We missed enjoying the tub during day, took 6 hours to fill it. Sun was down tub finally filled went into the bathroom to change, but the bathroom had thousands of fly's everywhere! (shown in pics) Turned our porch light off, and went to talk to the night staff, by the time we came back strangely they had all died. The sink, bathtub, floor, drain, toilet, everywhere was covered, I've included some photos as proof. Night manager offered to help ME clean it, not do it by himself, he also said there SHOULD have been netting up. Was about to tough it out and clean the bathroom, went to check the bed after moving some pillows we discovered the bed was covered in ants (included photo). Decided to switch rooms back to original standard room. Spoke to manager in the morning, and she tried comparing our bug experience to a rainy day implying it was out of the hotel's control, CRAZY!! She told us both rooms were suites though listings indicate they are not. She offered no discount, showed no sympathy, or even apologized.

We are really sorry for what happened, but believe me that this is not lack of cleaning. Is part of the season and unfortunately happens every year during few days, this is a kind of bugs that feel attracted for the lights, stay for few minutes and they die. The staff was attentive to your complain and offered you to change rooms and work really hard to make guests happy and have all areas very clean. People are always willing to help, speak your language to make you have a nice experience in our country. Luna Liquida takes very serious all our guest´s comments, our policy is improve every day and we know the only way to improve is through their feedback. Thank you very much.

Fantastic hotel

Posted Apr 6, 2016 on Hotels
Fantastic hotel without the insane prices! The roof top pool is amazing! We came here for our honeymoon to relax and that is just what we did. The hotel is on top of a hill though so if you have trouble walking, would not recommend staying here. However, the rooms were super clean and the staff was very friendly. If we ever come back to PV we would stay here again!!

Unique hotel

Posted Apr 4, 2016
Pros: Unique hotel with lots of stairways going here and there. Beautiful artwork. Stunning views with a rooftop pool.
Cons: Wifi very poor. Reception lady couldn't speak english.
Location: Great location downtown a few blocks from the 'Malecon'.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great location and we had a very pleasant time there. The hotel is an old and a new building attached together; the new building is beautiful; the old one is old and the kitchen and living area have a musty smell.

Be prepared for your Mexican holiday!

Posted Apr 2, 2016
Pros: Morning breakfast on the terrace, relative quiet during the day.
Cons: We found no sense of control present.
Location: Lots of heavy climbing up the hill to get to the hotel. Only for people in very good physical condition.
We researched the hotel and most reviews were positive, thus we booked/paid for 6 nights. Long story short, as the Easter holiday coincided with our stay, locals were also staying at the hotel. Young party animals who could put North American Sping break students to shame. The were hollering, screaming on the deck until 3:45 am in the morning. We attempted to alert the night manager - to no avail. Around 2 am, we took an executive decision rebooked our return flight at considerable expense and left the hotel hurriedly 3 nights earlier first thing in the morning. We are now attempting to obtain refund for the 3 nights we lost due to having been forced out of the hotel due to relentless late night noise.
