VacationClub/Timeshare Ruined

I've been to this hotel several times over the years it had always been just fine for a family vacation however this year was quite a disappointment due to the lack of attention paid to the non-club/timeshare patrons ~ there are many areas now closed off and not for use unless you are a Vacation club or timeshare member ~ you also seem to get a lot of "NOs" if you're not one of these members

The Resort Facilities are great, Food not so much

Pros: The pools and beach access
Cons: The Food and having all of the restaurants open. Offering more mexican food, more than just the one mexican buffet night.
This was our 3rd time staying at the Marival Suites and Resorts with our family and friends. Many of the rooms have been remodeled since our last stay in 2012, ours had not been. We were in a separate building from our friends and our room was the same as before and definitely still smelt musty (from the humidity) so I would recommend bringing an air freshener of some sort. The beds were comfortable. The food options were so disappointing this time, our favorite restaurant; the Mexican one, was closed. It was difficult to make reservations for all of us. The buffet food was less than great. We actually ended up leaving the resort for a couple of nights in an attempt to get better food which is disappointing when you're staying at an all inclusive resort. We will probably try a new place next visit.

Beautiful Family Hotel with a Marival Kids Buffet!

Pros: Clean, modern, friendly, wifi works, Buffet is good. Beach is NOT filled with vendors. Enjoy the body surfing all day!!
Location: Location is excellent - near a Sea Turtle Nursery that you can witness the hatching of sea turtles right on the beach.
We traveled with 2 other families, and we all loved this place. Highly recommend it!!

Good hotel

Only complaint I have was the check in process. We arrived just after 12 pm and I asked for a room with a view. We were told the room would not be ready until 3pm. We walked around a while and got something to eat then went back to check in and sat. Watched a bunch of people walk away to their rooms. We asked if we could get in and were told 3pm. Sat around until 2:45 and were told the room was still not ready. Finally had a manager get involved and were given a room on first floor with no view what so ever. At this point I was just glad to get into a room. The food here was awesome! Every night was a different theme at Casa Bella. VARIETY was great for an all inclusive resort. We need up eating all our meals here for the most part with 3 breakfasts at The pergola. Beach area was very nice. No rocks and very clean. Adult only pool was nice too but very little staff came to bring drinks. The large main pool was were the action was but way too crowded with kids. Room was comfortable and clean but nothing fantastic but we were not in the room all that much other than too sleep Location is nice but not very close to Puerto Vallarta. Its about a 30 minute or so drive to get downtown and cost about 16 dollars each way. Theres an ok casino nearby called Odessy to get a break from all the kids at the hotel. Overall I was very happy here and we enjoyed our trip. I would recommend this hotel for families and singles for a relaxing trip

Great stay, nice hotel, wonderful beach & staff!

Pros: Safe, beach, variety of food, boogie boards, nice staff, beautiful suite.
Cons: Take the macaws to a sanctuary with larger cages. I felt so bad for them in those small cages, forgotten over there with nobody even looking at them.
Location: Safe, on beach.
Just returned from a 5 night stay and had a great time! I wasn't sure how it would go after reading some mediocre reviews, but I was very pleased! Every single member of the staff was so helpful and friendly. The location was great, beach nice, and Nuevo Vallarta is very safe. We had a beautiful oceanfront suite, and I've traveled a lot but this is the first time I've ever had TWO bathrooms!!! The room had everything we needed, and it was modern and clean. There was a coffee maker, microwave, fridge with cold drinks, tons of drawers & storage space, 2 thermostats, mood lighting, a huge balcony, 2 TVs, and comfortable king bed. Wi-fi costs extra. There's a huge variety of food in the restaurants, and you can eat all day if you want to or make an ice cream cone. Upon check in, we refused the "tour" and map and asked to go straight to our room. They honored our request, and we were never pressured again. There is a "VIP" side, so if you're not a VIP or member you can't use the bar or beach chairs on that side, which was fine with us! There are plenty of regular lounge chairs & umbrellas on the regular people side. Lots of activities and lots to do here! The bikes are great to ride down to the little mall. We were never bored and wished we could have stayed another day. This place is great for families, or groups of friends, or couples...good for everyone. The pool does get noisy during the day with people and activities, but that stopped at 5pm everyday. We will return!

Great resort next to beach. Great activities

Beautiful hotel next on the beach. Spacious beach

Pros: I liked the service and the environment.
Cons: The buffet could be a bit improved, and the luggage situation and maybe a valet service for cars.
Location: I just hung out in the resort did not need to go outside of the resort.
I had a great experience the personel was friendly and helped out in any way possible even on short notice. Enjoyed everything the hotel had to offer. Thanks for such a great experience.

VACATION IS MEANT TO BE RELAXING

Cons: Better plumbing and less aggressive sales pitch
Location: Gray Lines offer a fantastic day tour of Puerta Vallarta which includes the Church of Guadalupe, the boardwalk, tequila tasting and lunch.
I'll start by saying the food, grounds, beachfront and staff are all amazing. I'll finish by saying our room had no hot water and we were approached TOO MANY times about paying for a membership to the location. I finally told one of the staff members that approached us, "When you get hot water in the rooms, we will buy a membership."

Desafortunadamente fue una experiencia muy NEGATIVA en relacion con la reservacion hecga con ustedes ya que yo reserve para DOS ADULTOS CON DOS CAMAS MATRIMONIALES Y eso fue lo que me cobraron pero al llegar al hotel solo era para UNA PERSONA , desafortunadamente tuve que pagar en ese momento la diferencia, mi error fue en confiar en ustedes y no revisar sus LETRAS CHIQUITAS.
