Love the service, setting and the ambiance great place for family or a couple as it has separate hotels. Restaueants are excellent and wonderful activities..

Now Amber Vacation

Very nice stay. Rooms and beds are comfy. Staff is excellent. Food was a little better than okay. Seems like a great place for kids.

Not a good beach

We were not impressed with the beach, but the swimming pools were very nice. The buffet has lots of room for improvement.

Newer hotel near Malecon

Every trip we take to PV we try to stay in a different all inclusive hotel. This overall stay was good but not great. The hotel appereance looks fairly new compared to many hotels near the Malecon. The staff was a little slow. When we checked in we had to wait more than an hour for our laggage to be sent to our room. And right when you check in they try to convince you to become membership and come in the following morning for an a hour info session which I think it's a waste of time. Pools were nice. Make sure you put dibs on your beach or pool chair every morning because its fills up quick. Rooms were clean and spacious. Just not the potty room. It was a little tight. Shower door didn't do its job by sealing the water on the bottom. Had to lay a shower towel. The food was ok. The Italian food at the restaurant had no flavor.

Excellent Service!

Pros: Everything was great except for the point about being required to buy bottles of wine at the restaurants because we had a large party.
Cons: Allow children at all restaurants and/or extend the children's club hours. Eliminate need to buy bottles of wine for large parties who sit together.
Location: Adventures Tours was a great company. We had fun at Las Caletas!
Now Amber strives to provide excellent service. I went with a party of 14 family members both young and up to 60's and everyone had fun. It was our first time at an all inclusive and now the bar is definitely high. The food quality, staff, room, amenities and everything was excellent. The only down falls were that ... -The beach was rocky as many have said in their reviews (not the hotel's fault of course) -A couple of the restaurants did not allow children and the kids clubs weren't open late enough to take care of them so the adults had to rotate going to experience the restaurants. Also some of the kids would have enjoyed the food but could not experience it. -We had a large party and when we tried to make a reservation we noted that but the managers and/or staff indicated we had to buy bottles of wine in order for them to put a larger table together. We thought that all inclusive meant there wasn't a charge. If there was a charge for larger parties make it known and don't require families to buy bottles of wine. Perhaps just charge a fee. We encountered this at Bourdeaux and Capers. However, once we were in the restaurant of course the staff gave excellent service. We would rather pay a cover charge for a larger party than to be required to buy bottles of wine. Also this discourages large groups to travel to your resort which counteracts with the very fact of wanting to draw in more business. Now Amber should consider these policies or unspoken policies I should say.

Great Vacation in Puerto Vallarta at Now Amber

Family vacation

Pros: The food, the rooms, and the staff!
Cons: The air handler system in our room was very noisy, and should be addressed by the hotel to make it quiet.
Location: Close to the Marina and close to the Malecon - a very affordable cab ride either way.
We had 13 people in our group, and booked 5 rooms - one was a swimout. We found our stay to be fantastic! Every day the entire group was in our swimout pool - the next time we come we will book 5 swimout rooms so we can all have the experience of being right next to your own pool all the time.
