I was really excited to go for my Birthday. I was very disappointed with the room. We paid for an upgrade and didn’t get one. I was also very disappointed with the lack of perks or explanation of the different restaurants or facilities we could use at check in.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort offers a breathtaking setting with stunning views and impeccable cleanliness, making it a standout choice for a relaxing getaway. The hotel's restaurants serve up delicious meals, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. However, while there are some singers in the lobby, the resort falls short of providing the usual big entertainment shows expected from an all-inclusive, leaving guests craving more nighttime excitement. Despite this, my wife and two kids had a blast on the beach, adding to our overall enjoyment of the stay. The beach experience was fantastic, making it a perfect choice for families looking for both fun and relaxation.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Clean, great poolside service, great views, lovely rooms. However, there were a few areas for improvement which meant I couldn't rate it a maximum 5 stars. The Wifi is pretty poor around the pool area - that should be fixed. Reservations for dinners should be online and not in person - felt a hassle to coordinate. The breakfast selection felt the same each day - try switching it up a bit. Also, I don't understand why you don't leave bacon out for guests. I had to ask a staff member to get it for me each morning. You could also benefit from a standalone bar area. Having it in the lobby area doesn't work very well.

We had a really nice stay. I thought the restaurants were all good and the service by the pool was excellent. I didn’t like being hounded to sit through a presentation about their properties when I just wanted to book a massage.

The view from our balcony and waking to sound of ocean was fabulous. The lounging area overlooking pools and bar was wonderful for a cocktail before dinner. Food was good especially Japanese specialty. I paid for dinner on the beach for our 4 birthday guys in December and January. Reservation was for 6:15 and when we arrived at 6:00 I felt there was a lack of communication. We were offered drinks while we waited, 1/2 hour, which never arrived. Then taken to beach and asked for our drink order again! From then on the service was exceptional. I requested roasted potatoes when making reservation which did not receive. I was embarrassed as this was supposed to be a surprise for my family. Poolside service was excellent except for one day when waiters seemed to be huddled at the bar! We tipped adequately whole time.

The room had an amazing view and room service was excellent. However, we didn't get in the ocean since the water was cold, waives were very strong and there was a lot of rocks, which made it hard to get in. It's a shame to go to Puerto Vallarta and not swim or get in the ocean. The hotel had a good entertainment and good service. The food was great. Particularly at the castaways restaurant. Downtown was about a 10-min drive, so not tood bad.

Rooms in desperate need of maintenance and updating, new construction tower being built next door constant noise and racket from 8am to 9pm. Location on beach is good quick Uber to Malecón or romantic zone, that would be the highlight of this hotel. Had to call housekeeping numerous times for water/ beer refills as they don’t come every day. Patio door and air conditioning broken. Was offered to move to a second floor room, but we had booked a swim out suite, so didn’t want to down grade. Overall not what is expected from dreams and we’ve stayed at many.

Overall this is a great property. The staff are very attentive to your wishes in all areas. One area of improvement might be the buffet - it is very understaffed and hard to know what you can order and eat. The variety could be better as well as it really didn’t change that much in comparison to the other hotel we stayed at for the same amount t of time earlier. A la cartes are delicious!

Pros: amazing food, lots of gluten free options, beautiful beach, clean hotel, sparkling clean heated pools, friendly staff, staff is very attentive and accommodating. Cons: rooms are not sound proof- loud music played late into the night, shows start too late when traveling with kiddos, long waits for elevators, needs more child friendly dinner options Overall an amazing stay, would come back.

The porperty is now 20 years older and could use some upgrades. The location is great and staff are great. The food has slightly went downhill from previous years but still good. Very clean resort worth the stay again.
