Nice hotel on the beach

Posted Feb 6, 2016
Easy check in, check out. Very nice pools & hot tub. Not as many kids as I expected, which isnt a bad thing. Rooms were about the nicest you will see in Zona Romantica, very clean and nicely decorated.

Traditional style hotel, good service near beach!

Posted Feb 5, 2016
Pros: Traditional style, good staff, good food, good pools and beach!
Cons: Dankness in room.
Location: Old town P.Vallarta, lots to do and see, and people friendly!!
Staff were very polished, food was delicious and variable, beach service handled well. Could use some de humidifying in room to remove dankness, but other than that, loved this place!

Great location!

Posted Feb 4, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: The all inclusive drink and food menus
Location: Everything is walking distance!
Great location downtown and conveniently located on the beach. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I chose all inclusive, the food was alright and the drinks selection were not the best. Due to the location and so many great restaurants around I would suggest not selecting all inclusive. Overall it was a great experience.

Good location, not so great hotel.

Posted Feb 1, 2016
Cons: The facilities need to be updated, and the plumbing issue on the left side of the hotel (smell coming from washroom) worked out.
Location: Love this location, we always stay downtown when we're in P.V. Great restaurants, and lovely to stroll on the Malecon at night.
We picked this hotel because of it's location. We wanted to be beach front but still in the romantic zone. The first room we were given was nice and had a great patio. Unfortunately, by mid afternoon the bathroom started smelling like garbage (apparently it was sewer gas) and the smell wouldn't go away until the cleaning lady came the next day. The toilet would stop smelling for about 2 hours after the room had been cleaned and then start stinking again in the early afternoon. We asked to change rooms and were moved to a slightly smaller room in another area of the hotel. Okay room, and no stinky bathroom smell! We got a good deal on the hotel so I would have to say it was adequate for what we paid for. Certainly not great and we wouldn't stay there again. On the plus side, the staff was extremely kind, helpful and accommodating.

GREAT LOCATION ON BEACH!

Posted Jan 31, 2016
Pros: Location on Los Muertos beach in the popular Romantic Zone. Affordable. Nice pool and beach. On-site restaurant convenient and good. Others nearby.
Location: Tons of shopping and restaurants right out the door!
Traditional Mexican hotel. Well kept. Nice pool and perfect beach. Beach chairs & umbrellas provided at no additional charge. Great staff. On-site spa. I booked late, so didn't have a view. Would stay here again, but would want a view and a deck if possible.

Right on the beach with a pool.

Posted Jan 28, 2016
Pros: Location and pool.
Cons: Could have a comfortable chair to sit and enjoy the view.
Location: In the romantic zone and close to many restaurants and bars. Can use rooftop pool at sister hotel, Casa Susana.
Stayed here 17 days, Had a comfortable king bed, pillows could be newer. Also a small kitchen adequate for a few meals and breakfast. We did not go all inclusive, too many good restaurants nearby to try. You can walk everywhere or it's a cheap cab ride. Staff helpful and friendly. Older hotel but very clean. Would stay here again.

Older hotel, great location

Posted Jan 23, 2016
Pros: Location was great, right in the middle of everything.
Cons: Bathroom was incredibly small we couldn't open the door all the way because it would hit the sink. Bed was not very comfortable, very hard.
Location: Lots of restaurants little shops and clubs.,
This was our first trip to Puerto Valletta, the hotel was older and rooms especially the bathroom were small. The cost was very affordable and it was all inclusive. The room we had was very noisy at night and we could hear the clubs that were just a block away. The buffet food was mediocre at best and we would not do all inclusive again. Many restaurants in the area. As for staying there again we might. the location was great, the staff was very nice but we would definitely ask for a room either facing the pool or ocean.

Fair hotel a little expensive

Posted Jan 23, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms, Clerk help and be more friendly and helpfull.
Location: CLose too several shopings old downtown, restaurants and bars. family and extremely open minded for gay related things.
I definitvely would not stay in this place during spring or summer time. It is out of date and do not expect too much from it.

Nice on the beach hotel

Posted Jan 22, 2016
Pros: Location, pools, spa, beach amenities, clean room, working elevators
Cons: Wi-Fi sucks. Very noisy rooms (especially the ones facing the mountain looking over Olas Altas). Night clubs around close at 2:30 a.m.
Location: Good location, lots of food options, easy walk to downtown or Malecon. Plenty of cabs. A cab ride to PVR runs for about 165 pesos (in Jan 2016).
This is a nice next to the beach located property. It has 2 pools, one spa and one restaurant on site. Rooms are clean, nice and well maintained. There's a lot of noise at night until 2:30 a.m. from the clubs and restaurants around. Two elevators in good working condition throughout our entire stay. On large enough safe deposit box in the room to hold plenty of stuff (tablets, laptops, documents, cash, etc.). Wi-Fi is free but only works in the proximity of the lobby and is very weak. You can hardly do emailing or some banking. Forget about posting pictures or videos on Facebook/YouTube or other sites or even sending them as email attachments, it ain't happening. The location is excellent lots of good restaurants around and not far from downtown or Malecon (15 min walk). The beach has chairs and umbrellas for hotel guests, but you have to go early (around 8 am) to get a front row "reservation". When on the beach, around noon stay alert for the tuba guy, Jose Luiz apparently is his name. He's got the best tuba in Vallarta. Be generous, don't be a jerk, and tip him nicely (25-30 for a Grande makes him very grateful to you). He comes back around 1 pm and he could make another pass later (he goes up and down the beach). You could ask for a fridge in your room, you might get one - free of charge - based on availability and the amount you're willing to tip.

Agradable estancia

Posted Jan 13, 2016
