Best hotel location In Puerto Vallarta! Next to food, shopping, nightlife, taco trucks and all activities.

Close to beach.

This hotel has lots of character in the rooms. Amazing woodwork. Family friendly for sure. NOT a place for 2 couples without kids to stay! The worst! Also, apparently people can get a day pass to the hotel to use the pool! Not a place for relaxation because of the pool being full of kids! Food terrible. Disgusting. Bartenders rude. Lack of alcohol choices. Do not waste your money on the 'all-inclusive' experience at all! Best part was the view. Beautiful! By far the worst resort I have stayed in during my travels abroad.! PV is amazing.! Beautiful city.

Great place & location.

This hotel isn't a five star resort. But it's a great location & great hotel. Clean rooms, friendly check in staff and overall helpful people. Everybody was very sweet especially the restaurant waiter Sergio. He was an absolute pleasure. The other restaurant staff was nice but gave me grief whenever I tried to order a drink to my room. Even thought my credit card was on file it was always a huge dwal. Overall great

Noisy, rundown, uncomfortable. Disappointing.

We paid extra for superior room: did not get one. Rooms badly outdated, deferred maintenance visible everywhere. Expedia hotel photos are misleading. Lighting so dim you could not read in the room after dark. Very noisy 24/7. Strengths: nice beach, friendly staff, room was clean, food good.

Family fun at its best!

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Pros: Location to the best PV restaurants, people watching on the beach/Malecon, super attentive staff, really highlighted the quaintness of PV!
Cons: Bigger beds in the suites!
Location: Eat! (Taco revolucion/Pancho's tacos/Coco's are a MUST) Walk! the Malecon at any time of day is a party and fun Swim! Beach and pool are RIGHT THERE
Three friend families headed to Hotel Los Arcos for spring break, and it was a blast all the way around, every day all day. The hotel's location is AMAZING, pool/beach access couldn't get any better, the staff was super attentive. We had a leak in our bathroom that was fixed within an hour, and that was the only issue we experienced. The hotel was in walking distance to all we wanted to do with young kids in tow. The hotel itself offered mid day pool games, ice cream samples by the pool, and plenty of music and drinks to keep the party going all day. Food was at our fingertips for the kids when they got hungry, speedy bar service....I could go on and on. It was the perfect location for what we wanted our spring break to be!

Good for families who want to be at the beach

Posted Apr 16, 2017
Pros: Location, location, location. Well staffed and actively keeping this busy place clean and tidy.
Cons: Our vacation could have been longer... We stayed in a room with 2 double beds and there was room for there to be 2 queen beds, which is preferred
Location: My wife went out solo around 10:30pm on a weeknight for local tacos and we had no hesitations about her personal safety. Use Yelp and Trip Advisor.
Well run older hotel on the beach with a very active pool. I wouldn't recommend the place for couples even though there were plenty - it's geared towards families as the label on the hotel literally notes. If you're a family with small kids looking for a central pool, at the beach in old town towards the middle price range then here you go. We didn't eat at any of the hotel restaurants, there are dozens of taco stands to restaurants to choose from nearby. Wouldn't recommend the all-inclusive meal option - the buffet looked ok but we wouldn't tell you to come to this part of Mexico to eat a hotel buffet. It was cool to not be at one of the larger hotel resort all-inclusive places further north near the airport where it's just you and the snow birds. In this Old Town area it's primarily Mexican families having their vacations and we, as citizens of the USA, are a minority lucky enough to be sharing it with them. Super friendly and easy going. Viva Mexico.

plenty of better options

Posted Apr 14, 2017
Pros: staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: prices could be more reasonable, food could be much better, pool & towel hours could be extended, beach chairs/umbrellas could be left out later
Location: inconvenient location south of the main strip difficult to get to/from by car or taxi
buffet selection was poor, towel service hours were inconvenient, insufficient chairs/umbrellas, transport to/from airport not provided, bathroom was extremely cramped and poorly ventilated, adding a child to my reservation for 2 adults nearly DOUBLED the cost of the already overpriced room!

Great location, good price

Posted Apr 10, 2017
Hotel is in the middle of lots of good restaurants and bars. Can walk to many things in PV. Pool was nice, just not a lot of umbrellas around to keep out of direct sun. Outdoor bar was good, Victor was a good bartender who made sure we had drinks all the time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They ran around the beach to make sure hotel guest had beach chairs and umbrellas. Rooms are ok, they haven't been updated in a long time. Air conditioner was ok but room wasn't cool enough.

We really liked this hotel. I went with my 2 sons aged 11 and 7. We were very comfortable and the staff were amazingly nice. For the price I was very happy with my stay. We just stayed 2 nights after traveling around other parts of Mexico. Old town was also a great location where this hotel is!
