Pros: old world charm
Cons: continued modernisation
Location: convenient for the bus to downtown, and restaurents nearby.
Luis went to extraordinary lengths to change our room (706) as my wife is handicapped and had difficulty in using stairs. He also tried to find alternative accommodation at another hotel, but eventually found a ground floor suite at Puerto de Luna. We were very pleased with the final result. All of the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, which made our stay more enjoyable. We will certainly consider returning to the hotel next year.

Family Resort

Posted Feb 9, 2017
Pros: The location, price, staff and quests. This is a 3 star property, don't expect luxury and fine décor. The layscape and flower were upkeep daily.
Cons: The lounge pool chairs need to be cleaned more regularly and pool deck scrubbed. There are three room categories in this resort.
Location: Everything is close by, bus, taxi, grocery store, laundry mat, restaurants, etc. Can walk to most venues.
Stayed 25 days in the superior room with fridge, oven etc. Very small, quiet resort with a lot of Canadian Travellers. Most of the quests are over 50yrs and are long stay and have been returning for years. We will definitely be going back next year for 2 months. The rooms and décor are dated by passable for what you pay to stay here. Very thing is within walking distance from the resort. If you had a issue you just had to ask and they fixed the issue. Make sure your know which category of room you are booking. Standard room is just bed, bathroom with no balcony, Suite is bed, bathroom with living area, fridge, sink and microwave (no oven and pots), superior room is bed, bathroom, living area, dining area, sink, fridge, oven, coffeemaker, pots and pans.

Pros: It is OK for the price but I might consider looking for a condo if and when I return to Puerto Vallarta
Cons: More loungig chairs around the pool and cleaning of the cushions. More queen size beds
Location: Lots of restaurants close by A new shopping center open a month ago
+Nice pool area w great vegetation. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful.. +Great location -The rooms need updating;more rooms with queen size mattress. -More lounging chairs around the pool always a shortage if you don't get there super early 8 am (we are on Vacation) - (the cuhions need a good cleaning ) -The security is very loose... just anyone can come in it seems Pet friendly + -

Above-average budget hotel 10 mins from the beach

Posted Feb 4, 2017
Pros: The pool was nice, the ground were really well-kept and the staff was super-peasant. They even had a little store to buy water and ice and snacks.
Cons: More chairs at the pool
Stayed a La Luna for 9 nights and was not disappointed. Clean rooms, the A/C works great, good pool although a little small-ish for a resort and very friendly staff and management. Would stay again and would recommend.

I saw $47 on the website then was charged $56 per

Posted Feb 3, 2017
Cons: Warmer pool. And an elevator.
No elevator and had to climb stairs all the time. Was over charged. Dogs barking. Noise was bad.

Thanks for your preference. We'd like to point the paragraph on the web site that mentions the 19% extra as the amount of the taxes for all the reservations and the "no elevator" part. We want our costumers to have everything clear for them, including our Pet Friendly concept that is in our new name. We are at your disposition to atend any other concern. regards, Luis Peña Concierge

Great hotel and convenient to everything

Posted Jan 25, 2017
Pros: The office and the people who worked there could talk English and everyone was so nice.
Cons: The rooms need updating.
Location: The beach is in walking distance. There are two malls in walking distance. A large Food court next door and Walmart and Costco are very close.
Loved this Hotel. Bus right outside to town. Fantastic Pool. Gardens are beautiful. Big food court next door. Clean rooms. A little old but very clean. Would definitely go back there. I am a fussy person but this was even up to my standards.

Nice rustic mexican still hotel close to beach

Posted Jan 23, 2017
It is a charming rustic mexican style hotel next to beach and plenty of shopping (groceries to high end stores) to choose from. Only a 10 min busride away from downtown Puerto Vallarta. I found all the staff to be very plesent and helpful. If you are looking for a nice no frills hotel to stay in I would highly recommend it.

Well centered hotel in Puerto Vallarta

Posted Jan 13, 2017
Pros: The pool and grounds are very well maintained, and it has a relaxed atmosphere, as well as the staff is very respectful.
Cons: The pool is cold in the morning but as soon as the day starts to warm up gets the day going.
Location: The airport is close by, shopping center and restaurants.
My stay at Puerto de Luna, was pleasant, I had a great time! The staff is really helpful with accommodations, and the resort hosts many international as well as local guests, I had a great time staying here.
