To start, the hotel has recently been renovated and it is absolutely beautiful. They added a new building and additional pools, which really gives the resort a fresh and modern feel. One thing that really stood out was how clean everything is. The resort stays spotless throughout the entire day. Even though it is all inclusive with food and drinks available at all times, there is always staff cleaning and picking up, which we really appreciated. From the moment you arrive, the service is top tier. The bell staff are attentive and quick to help with luggage as soon as you pull up. The front desk team is just as welcoming. Esau helped us during check in and was amazing. He gave us a map, thoroughly explained all the restaurants, bars, and activities, and even guided us in the right direction to book an ATV tour. He was so helpful and friendly. The buffet staff was also fantastic. We sat in Yadira’s section a couple of times and she was very attentive, always making sure our drinks were full and clearing plates quickly. The Riu Party Pool definitely lives up to its name. It always has a fun and lively vibe. One day while we were relaxing on the beach beds, a staff member named Naomy came by to check on us and asked how our stay was going and if we had any concerns. We didn’t have any, but it was such a nice and thoughtful touch. The staff are really nice and fun and all the restaurants are really great. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that cleanliness is a top priority—the rooms, pools, and grounds were impeccably maintained, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. The staff truly stood out. Every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which added so much to the overall experience. There’s a great lineup of well-organized activities throughout the day, along with fun nightly entertainment that keeps the atmosphere lively without feeling overwhelming. Dining was another highlight. The restaurants were well run, with efficient service and consistently decent food. There was plenty of variety, everything was fresh and satisfying, and breakfasts offered lots of great options. The beach is beautiful—soft, sandy, and perfect for relaxing or long walks. The ocean views really elevate the experience. As a family-friendly resort, there is some noise—early risers (including kids up around 7:00 am) and evening entertainment—but it’s expected and never felt excessive. Overall, Hotel Riu Jalisco offers a clean, friendly, and lively beach vacation. They have 4 outdoor pools to choose from with lots of seating and a kiddie pool, slides and splash pad. They have total of 6 restaurants to choose from (expect wait times for the specialty restaurants) and a taco bar, the buffet is great lots of options to choose from and food was very tasty! They have beach access which is also a plus, watching the sunset or sunrise at the beach is a must!
