I have stayed here all 12 times I've been to P.V. Never had any issues during our stays. This time however when we checked in, the man who checked us in tried telling me i owed more money $800 US and needed my credit card. First time this has ever happened. Did not like this at all!! He wouldnt leave me alone until i gave my credit card!

This resort was a total surprise to me. The location was perfect, just a short 20min walk or (60$ peso taxi) to the Malecon. The pools are wonderful. The resort is super clean. Food has so much flavour and lots of variety. Now for the best part, the staff. They are all so amazing. Every single person we walked past or spoke to were so pleasant. Whether you were in the elevator or just wandering the grounds, every single person greeted you. I am trying to learn Spanish and was encouraged by everyone I practiced with (everyone lol). We went to La Villita restaurant (buffet) was the place we went to most as the food choices as well as the flavour was so delish! Everyone is so friendly but we want to mention 3 in particular. Oliveria, Ringo and Pamela. (Thank you so much for all the Spanish lessons, as well as the laughs!) The Mexican people are for sure the nicest we have met as well, their sense of humour is the best! Please, please ensure you account for tipping when travelling, the staff work their behinds off to ensure your vacation is unforgettable. Sara and her family that are just outside the grounds on the beach are so wonderful as well. I purchased a blanket and Sara braided my hair twice. She is so lovely, and is a new friend that I will definitely keep in touch with! The resort was great, but the staff made it unforgettable! Didn’t care for the beach, I know that is just the way it is. But that was the only negative. Would go back for sure!

We had a very short stay because my companion got sick and we had to leave early. I enjoyed the pool but wish it had stairs or a ladder in a few places. We have stayed here 3 times, but I am 82 now and not as limber as I use to be. The staff was very nice. I especially liked the service and friendliness of Lilliana who waited around the pool. She is a very nice asset

We have been here twice. First time 5 years ago was phenomenal. This trip (April 2024) left a little to be desired. The restaurants were inconvenient and closed. We had to do the only NICE restaurant they had twice due to others being closed or not being able to do a reservation forst thing in the morning. But no restaurant was ever even near capacity. The staff was stand offish unless you were Mexican and yes before you ask, we tip very well for everything. We know management changed but i have to say, not for the better. We won't be going back to this Sheraton. I suggest you greatly look and compare before you choose Sheraton Buganvilias.

The staff were great, they worked hard at maintaining the cleanliness as it was busy with Easter break. The food was very good at the al a carts. Access to 2 good sized pools both with pool bars. Down side is the gravel and shells on the beach make it tough to walk the beach. All in all very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

The staff and facilities are excellent. The only issue we had was the trip to the airport from the hotel. We were stuffed into two small cabs with an electric wheelchair.

Everything is great at the hotel. Staff is very nice and the food is very good for a buffet. Only one issue was the spa we paid good money for a massage and it just felt like they wanted to push you through as fast as they could. No organization and it did not last the full 80 minutes that we paid for. I guess the time includes walking to the massage area? Other then the spa it is great place and we will definitely be back.

This was my third time staying at the Sheraton. I love the proximity to the malecon, it’s a quick 15 minute walk. Rooms are clean, but nothing special. The food is pretty good for an all inclusive. We definitely noticed the food was the best during the busy weekend when there were the most guests. One thing that was disappointing this trip is the staff weren’t as friendly as previous visits - specifically by the pool. If you don’t present a big tip right off the bat, they’ll walk past you all day and ignore you. I understand the tipping culture here, and I do tip with each meal service and when being served by the pool. I prefer to tip after being served a couple of drinks, and we noticed if you don’t tip immediately then they won’t acknowledge you again. That part was unfortunate and shouldn’t be that way.

Really beautiful property! And the deluxe oceanfront rooms are breathtaking and really great food . We did have a problem booking through Expedia so a bit of a hiccup at the beginning when we checked in. I booked 5 people all inclusive. But when we checked in m daughter under 12 we had to pay when we got there ? A bit of a hidden mystery …. But overall a great time !!!

Loved stating at the Sheraton Bougainvilla. There is do much going on ie, pool activities and nightly entertainment . We especially loved the restaurants, especially the Glaviotas. Dined there twice and the staff is amazing and so friendly . Especially Roberto and Pablo . The woman waitress ( forgot her name) is beyond amazing with her service . Would definitely recommend the hotel . One bit of advice , we are not big drinkers and usually only ate 1-2 meals a day at the resort. The meal/drink plan was $1700 for the week . We cancelled it and paid everything as we went along and everything only cost us maybe $800/900 for the week . Would definitely recommend the Sheraton

Great staff! They were very friendly and helpful. The food was okay. The all inclusive buffet had great options but the Embarcadero restaurant was very bad and service raw steak. Everything else was amazing and we had a great time. We bought the all inclusive package and definitely got our money's worth! The location was great, very close to the downtown area and easy to get a taxi. Would stay again.

I alerted the property and Expedia that my wife and i got bed bug bites all over us. I also researched the resort's reviews afterwards and lots of other reviews say they had bed bugs. All i have asked for is a credit for another resort to stay at in same amount i paid foe this resort. I did not have any food or drinks provided to us for free at this resort. I also asked for this to be escaladed and resolved yesterday. I have photos of all the bites my wife has slot of bites and i have some. I also have photos of blood and things on bed. If i am not credited the full amount by today along with a phone call from an executive or manager i will call my credit card chase bank. I will also write reviews with photos on google google maps expedia trip advisor yelp and youtube

Staff treated customers with respect, and were efficient. Quite a shock to learn that booking was not all inclusive, there seems to be no way to communicate with Expedia about this, and I have tried. You may want to compare inclusive vs a la carte, especially if you will be having meals off site.

I am 5x repeat visitor to this resort and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately prior to my most recent stay we had bad weather and our trip was delayed by 2 days. Sheraton denied any compensation for the days we were not there. Fair enough, the reservation was non-refundable but… it would have been nice to have had any consideration. Upon arrival they did not have the requested room available. We booked deluxe ocean view King through Expedia and they offered us a lower floor with a partial ocean view obstructed by a building and trees. They told us there are more room categories we were not aware of and we needed to take it up with Expedia. There was also construction taking place on resort which was bad timing for us. I was not impressed with management and the front desk staff and their lack of willingness to do much for us. They kept apologizing and left it at that. It was clear we weren’t getting anything for the inconveniences so left it at that. Negativity aside, the resort is gorgeous and the staff are great, from food service to housekeeping it was very good. It has a fantastic location and the grounds are incredible. I will certainly stay here again in the future but will be sure to do my due diligence in advance of a booking as to avoid the issues I had. I highly recommend this resort for all it’s merits. It is a wonderful place.
