Lovely hotel, great staff, nice foodPosted Oct 1, 2015
Lovely hotel, great staff, nice food, fabulous view of the ocean Only issue is that the kids area was open/closed at strange hours (eg - closed from 5.00 to 9.30, while and after we had dinner), would like to have had that open at that time

Diamond in the rough!Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: The views, the staff, the food EVERYTHING!
Cons: I did not like to sales approach for the time shares, I was told that if my wife and I went the girl would get a bonus as she would have met her quota
Location: Rythum of the night was AWEDSOME and is a must see. Also go on the boat that has "sexy Alan" he is hilarious! The Malicone was so pretty too!
Unbelievable!!! So I surprised my wife with this trip as it was our 10 year anniversary. We both have done quite a bit of traveling but we had never gone to PV. I spent 3-4 months researching all of the resorts in PV and I chose this becasue 95% of the reviews were great. First this is definately a first class resort in my eyes. The staff was great and helped you get whatever you needed. For example, my glasses broke and operations manager not only told where to go he offered to handle it for me. Now the repair was not the best but the fact that this guy took time out of his day and went to a eye glass shop for me so I could enjoy my vacation is just unheard of. Then we had Juan as our butler (ASK FOR JUAN) he made sure that our room was always stocked (had to remind hinm the first day, LOL), he made sure that we had fresh ice in our freezer, he setup a private dinner for two on the beach as well (additional cost BUT WELL WORTH IT) there is not enough goods things I could say about Juan. Then we did thea day at the spa, now I will say it was a little pricey but it was fabulous. Uyrdia and Marisa were our massage therapists and I wanted to ake them home with us. The his and her massage was just awesome and relaxing. Now I will tell you this if you are going looking for steak tacos, burrito etc you will have to ask for it as it is not a normal menu item. Also if you go you should definately do the all inclusive as it was worth every penny! We will be going AGAIN!

Sunset beach resortPosted Aug 13, 2015
Check them out on yelp. They are 5 stars for a reason :) Must try: massage by the beach -- heavenly :) **Sorry my review is short, I spent a long time writing another that didn't upload. So, I wrote in Yelp instead.

Top notch service in paradise!! (Honeymooners)Posted Aug 9, 2015
All the servers, butlers and workers here are extremely hard working. All their efforts are focused on making you comfortable and making sure you have fun, and that you are as relaxed as possible. The food in their restaurants are phenomenal, the activities are fun and friendly. The location is perfect between downtown and the airport and all other local tours/activities. Specifically they are honest with you and try to help you save money while having the best time possible - all with a massive smile their faces!! From day 1 my wife and I were convinced we had landed in paradise not only because of the location and views but mainly because of the local people and the Sunset Plaza staff.

Great experience!Posted Aug 3, 2015
Cons: Wifi only works well in the lobby. Almost nothing in the rooms.
First experience at an all inclusive. We really enjoyed it. The food was above average but very easily accessible. The staff and service were great! The hotel was very comfortable and kept clean. We went during off season so it wasn't too crowded and was able to play in the pool and get a seat with no issues. The people complain that the resort is too small and food options are limited. But I find it fine for a trip with 2 young kids since they don't like variety anyway. We only went for 3 nights so I think it was perfect. Any longer, I think it would have the same complains. Love our ocean view room and patio. Would definitely come back!

Missed our flight and tried to extend stay one more night but the manager wouldn't give us a good deal or discount. But expedia gave us $50 credit and we stayed at another hotel. Food was ok. Better if you reserve at the restaurant. Staff was good.

Wonderful full ocean views from every room!Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: This is a smaller hotel, relaxing and quiet with many free activities for young and old. Check with the activities director he is so nice.
Cons: Possibly a ceiling fan on the balcony
Location: A small tourists shopping area just across the street and a short block down that we walked to from the hotel. Lots of free activities at hotel.
This is a wonderful resort/hotel for all ages. We can't say enough how pleasantly surprised we were with the everything from the view, the food, the service, the cleanliness, and all the staff. The staff were absolutely the best; polite, accommodating, always smiling and happy, they knew you by name, the servers at the pools and restaurants were so great, always checking I f you want more drinks food etc. they make you feel "first class". (A few of the names we remembered that were just wonderful were the manger Gabriel, hostess Teresa, servers Elroy, Victor, Saul, Omar, the server at Lucianos and many others that we can't remember some of their names.) Our butler Reuben was fantastic! He was always available to assist with any need, even came to check on us at the beach with things to do, and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. They literally spoiled us the entire time we were there. They greeted us with champagne and cool hand towels, on a warm day after a long flight it was really appreciated. The food was great, presentation was fantastic (kudos to the chefs!) equal to many high end restaurants. You order off the menu, no buffet, so it is always fresh and hot and delicious. A must is the special coffee at Lucianos restaurant! The food at all three restaurants were very good, and of course the swim up bar also. Their are several pools, one for adults only, an infinity pool, and a kids pool, all are right near the ocean to enjoy the view.

Amazing hotel!!!!Posted Jul 21, 2015
Pros: I like that every room has an oceanfront view, we had one of the deluxe suites and the deck was huge, super comfortable beds and 2 bathrooms!
Location: The hotel was right on the beach and you could hear the surf 24/7! We took a taxi ride into Old Town and walked along the board walk, awesome!
This all inclusive hotel more than exceeded our expectations!!! The room, the food and the staff were unbelievable! Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
