Good Hotel for the Price

For $20 US per night, you cant beat this place. The plusses...good service, accommodating desk staff, clean rooms, safe deposit box at the front desk, and the price is right. The minuses...the hotel is about a 10 block walk off of Playa Los Muertos which may seem far to some. Also, the occasional bus and car on the cobblestones turns into a decent amount of traffic at rush hour. I found room 44 to be a little on the loud side at these times. They have interior rooms that are cheaper and less noisy if this is an issue. I live in a very quiet part of Seattle so this took some adjustment! The ceiling fan cooled things off well but I also brought a travel fan and was glad I did during the hottest parts of the day.
Here are a couple of other notes...if you walk back here at night, walk down Madero from the beach. The other parallel streets are a little sketchy late but Madero has several bars and restaurants open til the wee hours with more people around. I got followed my a scary dude one night on one of the other streets. A 50 peso cab ride can be cheap insurance. My basin in my room didn't have hot water but the adjacent shower did. No biggee but shaving was interesting. They only provided one bath towel and no beach towels, washcloths, or kleenex. Bring your own or beg for more? I did manage to get one more bath towel. There's an Oxxo 2 blocks to the south along Jaccarnda for 7-11 like things.
Overall, I enjoyed the spirit of this place, Good luck!

Thank you so much for the comments. We are going to take it on board and will be offering beach towels in the future.
