Rest, eat, swim & repeat! We (husband & I) stayed for three nights in an ocean front studio with a beautiful view. This property and neighboring property villa del Palomar have great suite options for families traveling with children. Estancia was more quiet with less children , but very relaxing and we were able to access all of the amenities at the property next door as well. The food options and drinks were superior to other all inclusive’s- they have fewer options but the quality is much better than other large properties. 24 hr room service pizza and drinks late night that were tasty. Handmade tortillas were super yummy throughout the resort. Paddle boards, kayaks and boogie boards were available to use on the beach. Get there early to go out on the water as the afternoon is quite windy. Nightly entertainment and daily activities were also offered.

Overall a decent stay until check-out when the front desk lady, Vianey, and her supervisor, Jair, demanded that we pay an extra “service fee” for each day of our stay totaling about $80. This fee was not listed on our booking details or the all-inclusive contract we signed at check-in. They couldn’t show us where we agreed to the charge and wouldn’t let us leave until we paid it. Although management is slimy, we received exceptional service from several employees: Josue, Christian, Ramon, Aaron, Isaac, and Raul.

According to Expedia this hotel was 9.2 out of 10 ratings. The truth was little different . We quickly found out that this is not all inclusive resort, but timeshare/club member resort. The place looked empty and depressing. The front desk people were very pushy to sell you a timeshare .But every time we asked them for something like to bring water to the room they smile and didn’t do anything about it. We had to ask again. Our room was very small beat up and dirty. The bedding smelled like unwashed laundry.Also there were only 2 restaurants on the property, even though Expedia advertised five. We had access to next door Framingos resort but this resort was lower quality resort. Villa La Estancia is not the resort that we would come back or recommend to anyone.
